Suns Pull Out Win Against Heat

It should have been a blowout. In fact, it WAS a blowout.  The Suns had a 25 point lead with about 9 minutes left in the game.  All the scrubs were in.  And then disaster struck.  The Miami Heat went on a 22-2 run and got within 5 points.  Then Steve Nash hit a three-point shot and the game was finished.

Someone e-mailed me the other day and asked why Mike D'Antoni doesn't use his bench more.  This is why.  Anytime the bench comes in, even if the game seems like it is in the bag, they find a way to let the lead slip away.

This bench thing is going to cause problems down the road, I'm sure.  But for now I am going to enjoy the 12th win in a row (the 2nd longest streak in franchise history) and the fact that if the Lakers lose tonight the Suns will be in first place in the division.

Nice little flip pass from Steve

Awesome to see this blog!
I'm really excited this blog is up and running.  I'm frequently over at the SnakePit and his link lead me here.

Since I live out on the East Coast now - last night's game was actually on the tube for me.

The sun's looked real good (Marion is still unreal) but like you mentioned in your post, it seems that the new additions to the bench just aren't adding anything. Specifically Banks and Rose.

I know, they only were in for less than five minutes -- but they were TERRIBLE and deserve no more time.

This is no huge deal now -- but if we can't reduce our stars' minutes with good production from these guys we are going to go limping into the playoffs AGAIN this season.

I agree completely!
Thanks for the comments.  Glad you visited the site.  I agree completely with what you're saying.  I hope Rose and Banks can figure out a way to contribute instead of being a liability out on the court.
