Does the Colts Winning the Super Bowl Bode Well For the Suns?

A year ago, everyone said that the Indianapolis Colts were a great regular season team but could never win the Big Game.  They said that the offense was good for a regular season game but when the playoffs and the Super Bowl come around, all the teams step up their intensity and the Peyton Manning offense couldn't keep up.

Everyone currently says the Suns are a great regular season team but that they'll never win an NBA Championship.  They say that the offense is great during the regular season but during the post-season the intensity of the game grows and the defense becomes key.

Now that the Colts have won the big one, I think that should give the Suns and their fans more hope  that it can happen in the NBA as well.  What do you think?

not really.
not saying that they won't win this year.  they have a very good chance to do so.

but the colts went through the playoffs and won the superbowl on their defense.  watch the games.  what they said about indy a year ago was... a year ago.

this is why we play the games... (hah so cliche)

Colts winning superbowl
When I was watching the Colts receive the trophy, I was wondering if the Suns were watching it ("Eyes on the prize") and if it would motivate them to play well rest of the season?

Some day D'Antoni and his team will prove that his system CAN win championships. When Peyton was talking about team, somehow I could envision Steve Nash there.

In the second half of the season many people doubted the Colts. Everyone criticized their lack of defense.  Come playoff time, it was the defense that won it for the Colts.  I see some similarities between the Colts and the Suns. It is hard to tell right now if the Suns would win the title this year, but they have as much chance as the other elite teams.

I'd Like to Think So
Well as far as luck and superstitions go the Colts winning does indeed bode well for our Suns.  God how i'd love to put to rest all those critics who whine that the Suns are all O and no D.  Or all those damned Mav fans who whine even more that we dont deserve the attention we're getting.  Come this June they will all know the wrath of the Suns, and through victory we'll turn even the Mav fans into true believers.
