Around SBN: Terry Collins, David Wright, And The Mets/Brewers Kerfuffle

Anyone know what this is about?

Chris Sheridan is naming the players that should be traded and the players that may be traded (sorry, it's an Insider article).  He lists Shawn Marion as one of the players who probably won't be traded and shouldn't be traded.  But it confused me when he said this:

"A couple of years ago after Robert Sarver purchased the team, he actually wanted to trade Marion after a misunderstanding between the two, but was talked out of it."

I had never heard of that.  Does anyone know what this is about or where I can read more about this?

An educated guess
I'd guess it involves the development of STAT, as well as the lack of national recognition for the Matrix, along with contract issues...and most importantly, their ability to play side-by-side.

I think it's been worked out.

The most important part, in my opinion, is for Marion to realize that while he is a max-contract player, and worth every penny...he is not a superstar player to have a team built around:  he is this decade's Scottie Pippen, with far better speed and hops.

And, I think, with the championships forthcoming, he'll realize that.  Shit, even Scottie was in the top 50 of all time...so he can be too.

The Matrix, traded?
Like the saying goes, "Money makes the world go around." I believe no player is immune to trade, especially if there is a championship to be won. Example, the New York Yankees. Now that's a team that is in it just for the sheer business of winning a championship, but here's another example, they haven't won one yet so they are proving that monied players are not what they seem to be! You could put the best players together and still not win. My question is, why not keep the same lineup for at least two years and see how they work out, if they don't, trade the lazy bastards! Just kidding....
