Steve Nash OUT For Friday's Game

Steve Nash didn't practice today and while the team isn't committing to the fact that he isn't playing on Friday, I can't see how he will if he can't even practice.

If it means that he can get completely better, I'm perfectly fine with him sitting out through the All-Star break. Who knows? He was complaining about not wanting to play in the skills competition. Maybe this is his way of getting out of it?

And like I said in a previous post, we have some fairly easy games coming up so this is as good a time for him to sit out as any.

a quick note

"not practicing" is not equivalent to "can't even practice". Dan, of all folk, you should know giving Nash a day off from practice shouldn't affect his play.

Nonetheless, I hope he doesn't play on Friday. They should handle the Hawks by at least 7-8 points the whole way, with Barbosa manning the point....and a Pat Burke sighting ;)

More time for the MVP to rest...shoulder problems of his nature could use the extra few days.

a quick note

How true! I've seen what the results of shoulder injuries can lead too, loss of mobility and long physical therapy just to regain a little strength to even lift your arm. From what Steve said about having no feeling in the arm, it sounds like a pinched nerve but it may also be a torn rotator cuff, lets hope he rests that shoulder long enough to be able to enjoy the fruits of his labor, an NBA CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
