Henry Abbott on David Thorpe on Steve Nash

Here's an interesting article about Steve Nash.  Since it is on Insider, I am linking to Henry Abbott's take on the article as well.  If you've got Insider, check out the whole thing.  If not, Abbott's post on it gives you a good idea of what it's all about.

Of course, this is all what we've been talking about for 3 years now!  But still it's nice to see others talking about it as well.

Wow, three diaries and three articles from Dan
...in the last 24 hours.  It's almost as if there's a big game coming up or something.  :)

I'm back!!
I'm gearing up for a good week of basketball starting tomorrow night.  First it's the Suns/Mavs game and then the NCAA Tournament starts.  I take every Thursday and Friday of the beginning of the tournament off work to sit down, smoke some ribs, eat whatever I want and watch basketball for 12 hours a day.

Actually, this is going to be the first year in 3 years that I haven't actually gone to the first and second round so it'll be a change sitting at home all day.

So I am definitely excited and showing it by posting more! :-)

Um... You ARE going to watch the Detroit game?
Don't get so caught up in college ball that you forget the Suns/Detroit game on Friday night.  :)

Nash article/Detroit game
I could not open the article because I am not registered on the Insider. I may read it later.

Funny I have already started thinking of the Detroit game. I am going to the game. I hope the Suns will play great and win. With Utah's loss tonight (to Miami) the stars seem to be aligning in the Suns' favor.

Abbott's comments on the article
Although I could not read the original article, I was able to read Abbott's comments on it.
Thanks for posting the links.

When I first watched Steve Nash make free throws, I thought his hand movements were graceful,  like a dancer's. When he was driving to the basket and making unbelievable shots, I thought his footwork was like a dancer's. Actually those are soccer feet. When he is sending passes to his teammates, he appears like an NFL quarterback making short range but amazingly accurate passes.

I find Steve Nash to be completely different from traditional basketball players- not only in his height/physique but the way he plays. I am not a basketball expert so there is no way I can explain it but to me he appears more like an artist than an athlete. Of course there is no denying he has great athletic abilities, but his brain is that of an artist who wants to create a perfect masterpiece. JMO.
