For those of you who don't know atleast some German that means "THE PLAYOFFS COME!!!! SUNS ATTACK!!!"(btw i'm in Germany now, hence the German)
Yes indeed my fellow fans that long awaited time shall be at hand once we finish with the Clippers tonight. Oh how the Suns have yearned for a true challenge, and now it is upon them. Time to show the NBA the true power of the Suns. I'm not sure if any Suns playoff series has been more anticipated in our franchise history than this one. Can anyone think of any that seemed so very desperately important? I mean if we dont make our mark these playoffs, will D'Antoni's beautiful and glorius run-and-gun system die out? Will Nash finally start to fade? Will our vaunted team chemestry crumble? So many questions seem to rest on these playoffs.
Thus i've decided to get a fullscale playoff thred rolling. Lets just keep ourselves concerned with series 1 and 2 for now. Now I got my money on LA still clinging on to that 7th seed. This (unlike last year) is very very good for us. Why? Well unlike last time around we got our big men back in actions and at full steam (well Kurt needs to get hs jumper back). Thus the Lakers big men can't use and abuse us like last time. The only catch with this is Suns rebounding, which though better than last year still is wanting. Yet minus that problem there is also the nice bonus that the Lakers are failing at life now. That's right folks the Lakers (unlike last time around) are going into the playoffs like the living dead. Thus I'm confident in saying (though not certain as Phil could still mess with us) that we should bitchslap the Lakers in a cool 5 games. Please comment below on this series
With that in mind lets go on to the 2nd series. Now unless an act of God allows the Nuggets to topple the Spurs (same goes for the Lakers against us actually) we'll be certain to face our old enemies from San Antonio. This series has really got me worried. The Spurs, in my mind, will be a tougher series than the Mavs by far. This is not due to some uber player we should watch, but is more due to the fact that under Pap's unholy guidence the Spurs as a united force of evil always seems to mess with us somehow. If this series doesnt go to 7 games i'll be suprised indeed. Thank God that the Spurs were kind enough to ensure our spot at the number 2 seed or else I'd be even more worried about this matchup. As it stands I know our boys have got what it takes to eek it out against them, but they gotta be on their A game at all times. Yet in truth the playoffs Suns can be so different from the regular season Suns that they might just stomp on the Spurs, but that will probably be asking for too much. Comments anyone?
Well thats all I got to say about the first two series. Really no need to even think about the WCF until the first to are set in stone, much less the finals. But if we do make it to the WCF this year i'm stickin to my mantra of "3rd Times a Charm"
