Steve Nash interviews Thierry Henry

This is a great interview where the tables are turned and Steve Nash does the interviewing.

Thanks to my little brother for alerting me to it.  Well ok, not little brother...YOUNGER brother.

I especially love the part where Steve asks who the "Bruce Bowen of the Premiership" is.  He then says things like "who has his hands on you all the time?" and "there comes a point when you want to punch the guy in the face".

I guess we all know what Steve really thinks about Bowen now!

great interview
First of all thanks fo rsharing this ... other than following the Suns religiously I am also a huge soccer fan!

Thierry Henry is one of the worlds finest soccer players, and having him think highly of our MVP makes me like him even more ....

The Suns are becoming one of the favorite basketball teams globaly, thats quite an accomplishment ...

great
thanks. I was wondering if he (Nash) was ever going to speak his mind publicly about Bowen. The nba is a joke for letting Bowen get away with all the trash things he does. The thing that shocks me, is we have youtube videos all over the place making it painfully clear the thug bowen is, but the nba still does nothing. Great link, thanks

Just don't get it.
That's because it's considered playing hard, Bowen is aggressive, What do you want? The NBA to just give the Suns a ring.

Of course not
I want the league to keep the same rules for the regular season and the playoffs.  I don't know of any other league that says, "Hey, it's ok to break the rules during the playoffs...it's the playoffs!"  It's like saying, "It's ok to start tackling the quarterback after he's thrown the ball, it's the Super Bowl" or "The strike zone is now from the navel to the waist because it's the World Series".

If it's a foul in the regular season, it's a foul in the playoffs.  There's a difference between being aggressive and slapping, grabbing and pushing.  But leave it to a Spurs fan to think otherwise.

aggressive??
ya i agree with you that bowen is aggressive...aggressively cheap. the NBA turns the other cheek when it comes to cowardly cheap shots. its also amazing that the coward Bowen is the NBA's active leader in consecutive games played. i guess David Stern is Bowen's guardian angel.

Just don't get it
no I dont want the league to just give the Spurs the ring like they did this year!

And even though they beat us, SA didnt win against #1 in the West nor in the #1 in the East, hence the championship is a joke ...

New
Yeah i wonder what you call it when raja bell pulls his antics ?????

Thanks for proving my point
The Spurs are so boring their fans can't even stand to talk about them during the Finals!

Let's compare Raja Bell and Bruce Bowen:

Raja Bell

  1.  Looks normal
  2.  Admits when he makes a mistake and goes over the line
  3.  Doesn't have tons of videos about him on YouTube proving he's a dirty player
Bruce Bowen
  1.  Even called Mr. Potato Head by his own team's fans
  2.  Never admits that anything he does is on purpose (typical Spur behavior)
  3.  Has over 10 videos on YouTube proving he's a dirty player
Sure, Raja made a mistake by clotheslining Kobe.  And he admitted his error and actually has Kobe's respect on the court now.  Bruce Bowen isn't man enough to admit that what he does is on purpose.  He tries to hurt someone at least 4-5 times a year.  And I don't know of one player outside of the Spurs (who are all the same so they don't count) that actually enjoys playing against him.

It's one thing to be good and have the challenge to play against someone.  Michael Jordan had that.  Wayne Gretzky had that.  Heck, even Kurt Rambis had that.

It's another to be vilified by other players.  Barry Bonds comes to mind.  Why don't people like playing against him or respect him?  Because he's a cheater.

Thanks for coming as much as you want to comment here though.  It just proves my point over and over again that your team is so boring even their own fans get bored - while they're playing in the FINALS!!  I've decided it's got to really stink to be a Spurs fan.

nice post dan
good points, this spurs fan is really delusional. I just watched the last 2 minutes of the spurs-cavs game 3 and saw lebron get hacked in the act of shooting a three at the end and the refs didn't call it! Plus earlier, I saw Duncan have his entire arm over Lebron, such an obvious foul, and again no calls. I can't imagine the pain it is to be a spurs fan. To be supporting cheating, to watch such a low scoring game. Mr spurs fan, I can suggest a good movie, Mr. Brooks, because I'm positive you need entertainment. You will win another title this year, but it was by cheating. Yes, you might have beat us fair and square, but my point is the suns never got that chance. Maybe you should go watch American Idol, you seem like an idol fan.. L

Scary
Man, i hope that when we were losing and getting knocked out the playoffs, year after year we didn't sound a pathetic as you sound. Iam telling as a basketball fan, the finals are different, spurs didn't get any of the calls they got at home, it's sucks as a spurs fan but hey it's the road.

LOL
Your answer says it all, what are we in highschool? So raja's closeline is ok because he admitted it was Bad?

(((Thanks for coming as much as you want to comment here though.  It just proves my point over and over again that your team is so boring even their own fans get bored - while they're playing in the FINALS!!  I've decided it's got to really stink to be a Spurs fan.)))

Thanks, it's just as fun to watch the game and mess with you whiners.

your a true loser
did you even make it past middle school?

plus...
raja was getting hit in the balls by kobe again and again. It was in retaliation, unlike Bowens actions.
Hey, the real teams in Texas..the mavs and the rockets... they're classy...you spurs could learn a lot from them. Once Duncan gets a little older, the Spurs will fade away for decades, you know it, I know it.

Also, important to point out, I don't think any one of us suns fans on this blog, if we were playing the cavs in the finals, and the spurs were at home, would go to a spurs blog and put others down.

As Dan says, I hope you never leave, your quite funny in a stupid sort of way. Please, keep posting,

Cavs
I would but the Cavs fan don't whine, they actually sound sane.

by dmf2150 on Jun 12, 2007 10:21 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Cavs
The Cavs and their fans are content with finishing 2nd. they don't belong in the finals, and everyone, including the players know it. They will be happy if they can win 1 game in this series. So what is there for them to whine about. they are still a year or 2 away from being legit contenders. their window of opportunity is just starting to open up. i mean there are 5 or 6 teams in the west that could beat them if they played in the playoffs. the reason us suns fans are bitter, is because we have never been there. and our window of opportunity is closing. last year if we had amare, who knows, maybe the suns would have won the championship. this year we got screwed by the lethal tag team of the David Stern and his favorite team, the Spurs. next year, who knows? perhaps no matrix, and possibly a step backwards.
