Well, here it is - the final game thread for the 2007 summer league Suns. I have to say, I'm going to miss these guys. It's been a lot of fun watching these young players spilling it all on the floor every night fighting to get into the league. It's not always been the prettiest basketball, and some of the broadcasts have left a lot to be desired, but overall, the experience has been a surprisingly pleasant one that not only let me feed my inner "basketball junkie", but also gave me some nice fodder for stories in my first week as admin of this blog. Now that I have located where NBA.com is hiding the summer league game archives, I will go back and watch the game I missed yesterday and post a recap sometime tomorrow. In the meantime, here's what I would like to see for tonight's game:
- DJ Strawberry have another big night. Looks like he certainly had one last night, so let's see more of the same.
- Alando Tucker keep doing what he's doing. I'll shut up about rebounding after jinxing him on Friday's game. More of the high percentage shooting from the field and free throw line will do nicely.
- Otis George make one last good impression. I don't think he'll make the Suns roster this year, and I read he's under contract somewhere else anyway, but this guy will find his spot some day if he keeps working on his game. The league can always use more "energy guys" who can rebound and shoot.
- A victory - I know it's all about showcasing talent, but it would still be nice for the summer league Suns to finish on a high note.
