I am a little bored, so here is a hypothetical scenario.
There is speculation that after McHale returns from his vacation, he will restart the process to trade KG. It won't be easy, given the big contract. If Minn cannot trade KG this season, they will get nothing for him. KG will walk out next year. So I believe he will be traded - either now or mid season.
Not many teams can afford to pay KG's salary (without paying the luxury tax), but a few teams may still do it because he would make their team better. Minnesota cannot afford to demand a lot at this point. Still, if there are more than one teams that are seriously interested, Minn. could demand a lot (players, draft picks).
I think Dallas may do it because Cuban does not care about money.
Goldenstate may do it because their front office has been aggressively trading to bring in the right players.
The Lakers will go for broke, in the hopes of retaining Kobe.
Will the Suns do it? At this point I don't think so.
Which team will trade for/sign KG this season?
