Big Brown Sighting

A source from the Dallas Morning News reported that 6-11 PF/C PJ Brown has seen meeting with Suns GM Steve Kerr recently.

Star-divide

If you don't believe me, read it for yourself.  Could there be progress?  Stay tuned.  It'd be nice to have BOTH PJ Brown and Adonal Foyle... IMHO.

Here's da link...

Hmmm...
Did anybody hear the radio broadcast he's referring to in the article? Would be great if P.J. decides to sign with the Suns, especially after all this waiting around. But I'm my usual skeptical self until I hear that it actually happens. :) (For what it's worth I was equally skeptical about Grant Hill too, and he signed anyway).

EVT's Jerry Brown says 'no'
According to East Valley Tribune's Jerry Brown, there's no truth to the rumor that P.J. was in Phoenix:
But here's the reality: Brown wasn't in Arizona Tuesday.

For that matter, neither was Suns GM Steve Kerr, assistant GM David Griffin or owner Robert Sarver. And while Phoenix has had several telephone conversations with Brown and agent Mark Bartelstein within the last month, that's as far as it's gone.

He also mentions that the Suns have a "Plan B" in case P.J. goes elsewhere, or goes no where at all. Pretty vague about what it is, though, other than mentioning there are three or four "situational guys".

And seconded by Marc Stein
Marc Stein also said in his chat today at ESPN.com that P.J. did not come to Phoenix. Sounds like this may have just been a rumor.

Man, it's so easy...
for media people -- radio/TV/internet/print -- to start rumors... and have foolish fans like me believe it.

That sucks!

Don't feel bad
Sounds like that Dallas Morning News guy bought it too--and he even gets paid to report the news.

If you pay them, they will come
Hopefully Mr Sarver will make the right choice here, seems that our budget might not be fluid enough for PJ
