This Just In: Suns sign D.J. Strawberry
I'm sure I speak for Suns fans everywhere when I say Yippee!!! The Suns have signed second-round pick D.J. Strawberry to a two-year deal. He'll get a rookie-minimum deal of $427,163 for the coming season, and a team option for a second year. I'm really excited about this signing. D.J. looks like the real deal with the obvious pride he takes on the defensive end, and he's going to be a lot of fun to watch above the rim too. With the Suns needing to fill two roster spots prior to this, it was probably just a matter of time, but it's good to know the deal is finally done. Congratulations, D.J.!

Yep, awesome signing!!!!!
DJ's everything Banks should've been and he's 6' 5" to boot - with the strength, quickness and athleticism to guard 1-3.
He's a legit combo guard who holds his own at the point. He always plays heads-up and his decision making is a hell of a lot better than one would expect from a rookie.
A 6' 5" playmaker with Matrix's hops and quickness? And Raja's type of tenacity on defense? Ox-strong to boot?
Who wouldn't want him? How DJ slid all the way to #59 is truly beyond me - but mine is NOT to look a gift horse dead in the mouth. ;)
Dare I say that DJ might have a bigger impact than Alando Tucker?
And Banks will be left wondering why his arrogant ass is left collecting splinters.....
