Chris Webber and the Suns or the Mavs

Seems that Mr Webber is interested in playing for the Suns, but who isn't?

My personal thoughts are to sign him. Hell, even if that just means for Dallas not to get him, they really dont need another big man to outmuscle us. With Diaw's weightloss we really need a "chunky" guy to help out when Amare is on the bench.

With Grant Hill and CWebb we'd have a grandpa team of the NBA ....

I wonder what Karl Malone is up to?
Fishing and hunting I bet...but he would be a nice old big guy to have on the Suns as well. Oh well, C-Web wouldn't be a bad addition at this point either...

Man
We'll be the top team in fouls, and second in age average, only behind Boston, that averages 75,8 years old.

What's the point
We already have our 7 player rotation...

Whith our coach he'd play what...6-8 minutes ?

What's the point of signing guys just to bench them.
Are we in the towel waving campionship ?

good point on playing time
Curious to see if Kerr has any influence at all in this department. One can hope. Also, this is probably Marion's last or second to last year, the Suns need to be trying to develope Tucker and some other young talent. That's why I was pretty upset about giving away the first round pick when Splitter
was available. Ever since B.Colangelo left, the Suns haven't been as smart in the office, let's hope Kerr is a piece to turn the Suns office around some. Still, I have to say the Suns should be a great team again for next year. The one thing that bothers me, Amare didn't dominate the boards, or much of anything else in the fiba tournament. I'd take Howard and his rebounding over Amare. You?

Amare v Howard
No way. Howard is a great - and getting greater - old school big center. No way can he run the floor and keep up in the Suns system. If you swamp Howard for Amare tomorrow the Suns are no longer the Suns. They are...well they are a slower Eastern Conf looking team. A darn good one mind you, but not the Suns.

on this subject
There was a pretty funny statement by some writer covering one of the Vegas practices for the USA team. He said that anything outside of a dunk and Howard had close to zero chance of making it. He saw Howard miss shot after shot, Amare has developed that killer mid range shot that K.Thomas and Tim Duncan have and score with so often. The thing I really do like about Amare's shot, they're mostly swishes, I think I bring up the Howard thing just because he is such a strong rebounder vs anyone we have. Anyways...night
