Penny Haradway - a former sun, may be the right fit?

I am starting a rumor right here, right now.

The Orlando Magic were my second favorite team, and I practically grew up wanting to play like Penny.

So when we traded for him it was one of the happiest days of my life. But it wasn't what I thought it will be.

The heat waived him 3 weeks ago. If you were Steve Kerr would you bring him back for the rest of the season?

16 games for Miami this season - 8 starts; Penny averaged 3.8 points and 2.2 assists. Career lows!

Meh - Our bench doesn't play either way, why bother!

No Way - he ran out of Magic a long time ago, play Al McCoy instead

No thanks
It would be Jalen Rose all over again. Why take up the roster spot, spend the $ and waste everyone's time. He's not going to play for this team. Not a chance. If he couldn't get productive minutes in front of the no-names that the Heat are running out of their back court why on earth would he be good enough to get minutes on this team?

Besides, he didn't exactly leave Phx a hero so its not like the fans would welcome him back like the second coming of Walter Davis.

Nice idea to bring in someone like that, I just tend to think it would go like srp mentioned...the jalen rose route. But, you never know. I think what we need is a player like Bass, someone good enough to get playing time and help us on the boards, but young enough to keep up with our pace, and young enough in the nba as to not kill us $$$$ salary wise. Bass is to Dallas what Hill has been to Phx. Granted Hill is better, no question there, I'd personally vote Hill to be an all star after Marion, Amare and Nash, maybe ahead of Amare (even though the beast has showed up this last week). If amare plays in the playoffs like he did this week, we (the suns) immediately become the favorites in my view,
