After the breakdown against NO, which was so ably demonstrated to be Amare's doing by expert analysis by SRP, we need to keep the fires going
Surely we don't pat ourselves on the back at the win over the Nuggets, and return to mediocrity. No, I think it is imperative we win these next games against the Pacers, Jazz, Bucks, and Clippers, and gear up for a breakthrough win at LA.
We have these four games to work on our attack. each game provides a different challenge:
We have never guarded Jermaine O'Neal well. The best we can do here is to offset him with a great Amare game. Shawn and Raja need to put a monkey wrench in Danny Granger's and Mike Dunleays's games, and this is a perfect game for Skinner to keep Foster from hurting us. Banks can wear them out.
We still owe them from last year. I don't think they have slipped much, just that the defense is gone, and deron williams is finding it harder these days to keep the shooters happy.
They can hurt us with Yi and Bogut inside, and Redd can go off on anyone. Just keep the pressure on their defense, and avoid defensive lapses.
Chris Kaman is the key, run him to death. They slowed down in the second game last month and let him get going
Lakers Jan 17th
Circle this date. We have to win this one. No ifs, ands, or buts. A loss in this game only confirms to the national media that we are not the threat we once were.
I will not be satisfied unless we win all of these. Then I will believe we have turned a corner on the chem issues. And I really think there are no games this month that we have an excuse to lose. That said, the NO loss doesn't hurt as much record wise, there are are a lot of teams bunched up in the West, and we are still on top. Can we stay there?
