Please trade Boris Diaw  =(

Anyone remember game 2, when the Spurs had locked down the Suns, regained the lead and were trying to pull away? The Suns got mismatches where Boris Diaw was matched up against Tony Parker(2 occasions), and Brent Barry, Manu Ginobili on seperate occasions. Single coverage defense, no help whatsoever; so your PF has the ball with a foot inside the paint matched up against skinny and undersized guards, and what happens? A few hard dribbles and a easy basket? Muscle in for a dunk? No. Boris Diaw choked on his own fat tongue and cost the Suns game 2. One game after his 5-second reaction time meant that no one rotated to help on Ginobili after poor overrated Bell got blown past and burnt in game 1.

But he had a huge game 4!!! Which didn't matter, did it?   =(

Not such a bad thing now.

When we first got Diaw it looked awesome. A steal from Atlanta, after many hated the trade. Turns out pretty good for both teams as Joe Johnson is one of their better players in Atlanta. But Diaw has slipped since. Johnson is good for ATL. Trading him isn’t such a bad idea now.

So, uh...

Sounds like you really like the Suns.

Yeah, I've been advocating this for half a year but I only joined this blog community recently

Hcblankscreen, if you were a Suns fan, you would want the Suns to win, wouldn’t you? D’Antoni has been the mastermind/face of the Suns franchise for the past few years but we got rid of him to try and improve our chances of winning. So what is wrong with trying to move probably the biggest piece of garbage on the Suns team?

Yeah, Boris Diaw looked awesome at times. Wow, a forward with a penchant for the occasional clever/nifty pass! Then we noticed that he’s lazy and error-prone. And that despite being a “versatile combo forward” who in theory should be playing along the lines of versatile forwards like Lamar Odom, Suns fans have been getting a player that does a little bit of everything, but can’t do anything well, and his production shows. He can’t shoot the 3 accurately, does not finish well inside, has no length/timing/leap to block shots, does not rebound strongly, is a mediocre defender and flashes hot and cold like the weather in the desert. And eats up more than 9 million of cap room per year. 2007/2008 playoffs should have been the last straw.

Please, Kerr. Save our Suns.

Man you hit the nail on the head. Boris Diaw is the problem with the Phoenix Suns. Our season will surely be saved if Steve Kerr trades Boris Diaw. And think of the return we’ll get! Maybe someone has a good idea, should we call up the Cavs and ask for LeBron or the Lakers and ask for Kobe?

I mean, the "Save our Suns" is melodrama, but essentially my point is that I really hope for our deadweight to be removed

As a Suns fan, I really wanna see the Suns win, or at least contend(which means coming close to winning), but presently constructed, it’s only logical to say that it’s a very long shot given the way the roster is built right now. Barbarosa no longer fits in this system. Since the Shaq trade, Barbarosa has pretty much struggled, as the slowing down of the offense has exposed him for being an under-sized 2 without the court vision and leadership to play PG, and whilst he can score in bunches in an open and up-tempo offense, he is essentially a very weak offensive option in the half-court sets.

The Suns have a promising core to build around, and moderately promising rookies. If the deadweight can be moved, who knows what could happen?

RD74, don’t diss me that way. Isiah Thomas wasn’t the only GM who would repeatedly make horrible blunders with regards to personnel decisions. At least 2 or 3 of those 29 other GMs out there are just waiting to be conned, and swindling another team into give you more for less is the most effective way to build a title-winning roster.

Yeah

I don’t think anyone is going to give us anything for Boris. Unless his contract is expiring. In which case if it is expiring we should just eat it and get cap relief ourselves.

Barbosa has a bit of value in the league. Boris, not so much.
