Going on the Record with the Knicks

I just need to get this out there and say it now.  I often take silly stances, based on little more than gut reactions, Guinness and poor logic.  Tonight, however, my decision-making process is not being enhanced by Guinness.

Star-divide

The Knicks will make the playoffs.  Look, in the Eastern Conference you don't even have to go .500 to make the playoffs.

Coach Antoni has benched Starbury and Curry (he also went 10 deep).  The cruddy teams in the East will not be able to run with the Knicks if those guys buy into Antoni's system.  That's enough for 35-40 wins in the East and the 8 seed.

They really don't have to do that much to make the playoffs.  It's like Pat Burke's return to St. Catherine's:

"Shades of '84 out here!"

"I'm 6'10", I'm in the lane!  I'm right here!"

Check it out!

based on beating the worst team in the nba in the first game of the season???

I think they’ll make a run for it, but will fail. Still great improvement nonetheless.

Suns Re-ignited.

10 deep?

I just saw D’Antoni on ESPN. Here’s the money quote “We went 10 deep tonight and that’s too many”…

Why So Much Antoni Hate?

I guess my statement will make me a genius or a moron.

No, not based on beating the Heat. I said that when Antoni went there, too. I’m just staking my ground at genius or idiocy (kind of like planting my flag — or buying Alaska).

And what's up with the boos?

and the “we want Steph” chants? I don’t get it…

I thought that he was doing the fans a favor by sitting him…unless the guy got tickets for his whole family…

How about this

We trade Shaq and his two years remaining for Steph and his one year remaining?

D’Antoni needs a center? We need an experienced back up PG?

Pot Calling the Kettle Black

There’s only one dude in the league crazier than Shaq

Insanity

I’m talking about someone who could actually benefit from drugs and/or treatment. Artest is more of in need of “anger management” that a bio-chemical overhaul.

No D'A hatred

just bewilderment. I saw on ESPN yesterday that Jalen Rose made some telling comments. Why Walsh and Coach D have let the Marbury affair go on this long is beyond me. Why play him in preseason? Why not do like Tampa did a few years back with Keyshawn Johnson?

Rose said “D’Antoni’s only going to play 7 1/2 guys. Why not give him a chance somewhere else?” This from a guy who has both played in New York and suffered under D’A’s famous ‘7 starter’ approach in Phoenix.
