Dear Shaq

A letter from a Spurs fan to Shaq.

A letter from a Spurs fan to Shaq which you should probably check out. Here's an excerpt:

So you beat us. You got your wish. Not when it counted of course, but if it makes you happy, that's all that matters right?

Last night, you put in a solid performance by fantasy and game standards. 15 points, 13 rebounds, and you didn't foul out. You went to the foul line and had two blocks. You're still one of the top 3 centers in basketball - there's no denying that. But that's really because there aren't any left in the NBA aside from Dwight and Yao.....

This guy

Has way too much time in his hands… just three words for him:

GET A LIFE!

"Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it"

Top 3?

This guy lost all credibility after calling Shaq a top 3 center

Not everyone loves Shaq?

Huh. Interesting. This is certainly news.

Why so bitter?

Honestly, it’s the first game of the regular season and even though it doesn’t “matter” this guy’s making excuses. I guess since beating them without Manu makes it meaningless we can go ahead and put eight more asterisks next to the game we played without Amare or Boris.

It doesn’t help that my dog has better grammar than this guy. Hopefully these posts will drive him to make another blog entry with 2 views and 0 comments.

Top 3 Center?

Top 10 is reasonable, and top 5 would already be far too much of a stretch. At this point in his career Shaq is only about as valuable as Fat Z-Iglauskas, and is merely an above-average option at franchise player cost of 20 million.

Shaq so far

It is a VERY well documented fact that I am NOT a Shaq fan.

But to be fair – he has looked good in the first two games. If he plays as well as he did in games 1 and 2 for at least 70 games this season I will officially eat my shoe.
