Tucker leads all Suns in win with 22

I am guessing that some day soon we will be able to say that for real.

Some bullets -

- Mark (BJD) was a bit more down on Dragic than Brown (EVT). Lower your dream expectations, Dragic is going to struggle this year just like any rookie. In the photos, Dragic does look several inches taller than Nash. He has the length and athleticism, apparently good sense, so there's still good reason to hope on him.

- BJD found the play slow and perhaps sluggish. Partly due to it being a preseason scrimmage but also partly due to the defensive focus.

- Brown reports that TP is in love with Matt Barnes' defense. I say 50-50 odds Barnes starts at SF and Hill comes off the bench. Hill seems like he won't give up his spot easily. He scored 17 in the scrimmage. Barnes will definitely see sizeable minutes as the younger, larger second coming of Raja Bell at the SF spot.

- ZF apologizes for calling Big Lou Lou a transvestite and a german soccer woman. With 6 offensive rebounds, the guy was aggressive and showed he wants to play. What more can you ask from your 13th or 14th man?

- Brown reports the whole team has shaqitis from the free throw line, shooting 59% for the scrimmage.

This was definitely a good show by Tucker.

The cahones to take those shots and the skill to make them. He’s making the most of his chances and all that time in the D-League.

Had Strawberry gotten more time in the D-League and used it well, perhaps he might still be with the team.

about DJ. I think the had plenty of opportunity. He certainly got more minutes then Tucker w/ the Suns last year.

I personally believe he didn’t have whatever it takes to go from a potential NBA player to an actual roster guy. Ask me again in 3 years but my bet is that he’s not going to stick in the NBA in large part due to his mentality. He doesn’t seem to have the toughness or drive to overcome his sub-NBA level skill set.

Perhaps growing up the son of a star pro player he just wasn’t/isn’t hungry enough to do the extra things to get over the hump. He can easily call it quits now or he can rededicate himself and bust ass to try and claw back into the NBA.

Teams are always going to at least look at him due to his athleticism and his name. It’s up to him now.
