Alando Tucker's Break Out Season is On Hold
Tough luck for Alando but it doesn't sound too serious as far as knee surgery goes.
Tucker is expected to be out two to four weeks. An MRI exam on Tucker's knee showed no serious damage and the scope should only be a clean-up procedure.
Tucker's issue began with a calf strain during training camp in Tucson. That led to a hamstring issue and fluid build-up in his knee.

I talked to him at the suns tip-off party
I was paired with him at the Suns tip-off party on Sunday during a “Stump the Suns” trivia contest. We talked a little bit about his hamstring (he said it started acting up in the game against Denver in the cold). Hope it’s nothing serious they find during the scope as he seemed pretty excited to play this year. In general a scope is pretty easy, unless they find some damage they can’t see on MRI, and he ends up getting microfracture surgery.
Great info
Thanks for that first person account!
I had the opportunity to talk to Alando last year and thought he was a great kid. I was excited about how his game seemed to have progressed based on his play in Vegas and in the preseason and I am really looking forward to seeing him do well this year.
