aww
Now I feel bad about considering steph. But come on. Do you think our european gamble is really better?
Hornets definately reminds me of the Suns. I’ve said this for a bit now. CP3 is like a young Nash. Peja can shoot the lights out. The team knows how to run, play solid D, and have fun doing it.
I’m watching the Celts/Magic game right now. They listed the teams with the most Technica Fouls. Funny eeing the Suns up there at the #2 spot with 25 Ts. 25!?! We just started December. Chill out fellas. You do know that 16 Ts in a season gets you suspended and fined, right? Of course you know, amare, you’ve been in that situation before. Haha. But this isnt about one person. Its a combined issue. STOP CRYING OVER CALLS AND GET BACK ON DEFENCE!!!!

I’ll take Goran any day. This is the perfect situation for him to develop in. Let him learn from Nash and he’ll be on the fast track to success. He’s already athletic enough, and see’s the court well enough.
Also just watch his defense during the Suns 4th quarter rally during the Hornets the first time around earlier this year. The man has potential.

Learning from Nash hasn't seemed to help
1 Barbosa
2 Smush Parker
3 Marcus Banks
4 DJ Strawberry
Maybe that’s a bit unfair and maybe those guys did learn something. However, you do raise a very interesting question:
Singletary or Dragic as the backup PG this game??
Window Closed? Shit, just break it then.

I think the difference will be the coach
Coach D seemed to encourage the back ups to be like Nash instead of being their own player.
I’d say Singletary remains the back up until Dragic starts hitting some open shots.

...
Why would you expect apples to learn from oranges?
Dragic’s game has a much more similar foundation to Nash’s than any of the guys you mentioned.

Possibly you could say the soccer connection, but
Barbosa is also soccer conscious. Perhaps it’s the slow and white connection?

I’m not sure anything could have helped Smush Parker.

Duh
I’m still trying to figure out why they cry about calls. Moaning and bitching has never gotten a call reversed yet, has it? The refs will never admit they made a mistake. You may get a makeup call on the other end of the floor, so quit yer bitching and get back on defense, Amare!

nice
phoenixstan, i gotta say that this is probably one of cleverest posts yet (IMO). and thats saying alot.
also makes me feel a little bit better to remember that we’re not the only ones struggling. after all, if everybody were doing as well as the lakers, there be nothing to cry about. and thats the dark side of the fun of sports, isnt it?

which brings up a good point
The Lakers (and it hurts saying it) are easily the best in the west. And after watching the celtics/magic game yesterday, I have to admit…the celtics are perfect. We’ll see a repeat finals, and probably repeat champions.
Lets face it, our window for a title is damn near closed. We’re still playoff contenders, and we can definately influence the outcome in many series’. But we’re just not a championship callibur team anymore. We should be. We have all the makings of a team that should be dominating majority of teams. We should have the best record in the league. But bricks are tossed up, fingers are buttery, whining yeilds Ts, and the poor on-court play has definately affected emotions off-court…which is a catch 22, cause it leads to even more on-court problems.

We need some positive vibes; life’s for fun so go and play
Let the sunlight in, brighten up your day”

I see what you did there.
Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
