Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

I LOVE the internet. This is from totally awesome video blog site 7 Seconds or Mess. I don't know how he makes these clips but this rocks.

If any of you have the technical ability to do this for the Suns let me know! I would LOVE to be able to put game clips together of specific plays and the only way I know is to video my TV screen which makes people queasy.

hey stan

I can do that with video, he’s using something called spotlighting, I’ve used it, among other things. I don’t use youtube though, the quaality sucks. Also, this is a big point with me since I do things legally, it’s illegal to edit and change / then post nba video unless he works for the nba and it’s approved, I’m surprised you don’t know this, not that you’d ever get into any serious trouble…likely they’d just ask that you remove the video…but so many break the rules that it’s just let go I guess

youtoube quality..

It used to be shitty, but now you can post them in “high quality”. If you go to his youtube page you can watch it that way.

cool

thanks for the tip, I post my videos on my own site after flv conversion, a 500 mb 2 min video becomes 5mb after flash conversion.

wow

this cilp makes shaq look awesome. interesting points against small squads (ny, gs, o’neal-less raptors, etc). how many of these plays do you think were desinged and how many were just set up in the flow of the game?

Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr

Practice. We are talking about practice.

have been working hard on feeding Shaq in the post. Clearly they have practiced different ways to get him the ball since some of those disasterous turnover games earlier.

The true test will be against a team that fronts him like the Heat and Nets did.

I think JRich will help a lot with that w/ his ability to drive the lane if the other team’s big is going to clear out and they aren’t going to leave Amare of course. Shaq can screen his man while Amare pulls his guy up to the elbow and the lane will be wide open for a drive.

The timing right now of the schedule is awesome btw. We have a ton of days off to work on things w/ the new guys.
