Feed the beast. Don't run from it
I am surprised myself that I agree with this open letter to the Suns basically saying to lean on Shaq more. I don't regret hating The Trade and still think the big guy isn't going to deliver all season.
But having watched every Suns game this season, I can't see how playing through Shaq is a bad thing. He's in better shape then expected and is playing harder and being a better team mate then The Amare Project.
If you have a 60% shooting beast you might as well feed him a bit. At least until he's back on the bench for good.

Yes, please, more Shaq. I traded for him in my fantasy league after the first few games when he was looking dominant. I feel really dumb right now.

There's no problem feeding the beast.
But there is a problem playing inside out when he’s on the bench, b/c there is no “beast” to “feed”. We should change our offense when he’s not playing…
Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
