Philadelphia experiment
Would Dalembert and Miller been worth Marion and Banks?
Philadelphia is a team in transition. That said, they have proved to be a scrappy bunch that find themselves in the playoffs if the current standings hold true. They could present problems to a Suns team that has lost its way. HOWEVER... (Stephen A. Smith voice)
I have already written a piece in the New Orleans game notes about whether we should use this game as practice to integrate our various parts, since it is the Sixers, and we really want them to stay ahead of the Hawks. That ignited a firesorm of responses debating whether that would constitute tanking, which caught me completely by surprise.
But look at the Sixer roster. My question is this: If Dalembert covers Amare, that leaves the 6'8" rookie Thaddeus Young on Shaq. Isn't this the perfect time to perfect the Shaq integration?
Looking at the matchups, with Dalembert up front, and Young and Green joining him, I think we should own these matchups. In the backcourt, Miller could give Nash trobles, and Iggy will present a stiff challenge to Raja.
Sounds like time for some PRACTICE
