Skinner and Dj have stopped playing

It seems that the only logical reason for the absence of these 2 since the Shaq trade is a scenario that goes like this.

D'Antoni, "Brian and Dj, you guys actually know how to play defense, so your not gonna play.  As for the rest of you, you guys get all the minutes til you figure out how to play like Brian and Dj"

Brian and Dj, "Were being punished for playing defense?"

Brian, "Im gonna work on my 3's after practice"

Or...
It always seems like it'd be a good idea to have DJ or Skinner on the floor for defensive purposes, but when the offense lags as much as it does with Nash on the bench, it's even more of a reason to not play them

Diaw plays better one on one D than Skinner and isn't an offensive liability while DJ plays decent D then stands around on offense hoping his man while somehow lose interest and leave him open.  Even if you were to play them with Nash why waste the open looks on guys that don't knock 'em down?

eerily similar Hawk42
I believe you nailed it on the head, in fact, i think i remember reading that at some point, I especially like the "the matrix has been banished" part. "banished".  Here is hoping for a purple beard from Skinner come playoff time.
"Hes very cerebral when he plays out there"

Matrix banished
Some people say he is OK with it, but it has got to be a drag putting up great numbers on a team that couldn't beat Duke.

Kerr's Response

Snowbird,

in case you didn't catch it.  Steve Kerr responded to some fan mail raising the same questions about Skinner and DJ you did.

Here's a link.
