A Plea for Civility

I've noticed something on internet blogs -- way too much cursing.

I'm not trying to be preachy or sarcastic.  Generally, persons who curse do so because they lack a broad vocabulary.

And it's not that I am advocating a G-Rated blog.

Some jokes, like "Full French," are suggestive and funny (thanks, Phoenix Stan).  However, it is clever without saying something explicit and with coarse words.

Case in point in the "trolling" between this site and PTR.  It's not really "trolling" -- I think it is more of good-natured banter (see, I used "banter" instead of "#%!-talking").  In any event, be clever not course.  Over here and over there, and anywhere else you go.  Be a good example -- be witty, erudite and urbane.

Lest anyone thinks I am calling out anyone over here, do not take offense.  I'm really looking at their posts and profanities juxtaposed next to a post claiming Suns' fans are stupid.

Take the high road.  A good friend of mine once explained, "If you lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas."

Anyway, it's easy to be smug and superior when you've won 3 of the last 4 in the regular season and you've taken 3 of the last 4 on SA's home court (including last year's playoffs).  Sublime.
