Feeling Dirty and Rooting for LA

I'm feeling dirty about watching this series.

Star-divide

I came back from my jog and caught the last 8 minutes of the LA-SA game.  I've been running because my contact sports are off the table following my broken-finger-followed-by-a-broken-nose fiasco.

The Spurs were up and I found myself rooting for LA.  I rationalized my gut reaction with the thought that I hate more Spurs players than Lakers players.  Then, after the commercial, the camera went around the crowd to all the movie stars and I was sick to my stomach.

No real toughts, other than it looked like Odom molested Ginobili on that last loose ball.  You reap what you sow, I suppose.

TD's numbers looked good, but he was pretty absent in the part of the game that I watched.

Reggie Miller is already saying the series is over.  Yeah, that's well-reasoned.  He needs to read more of my stuff and rip me off again.  He'd sound smarter.

Maybe I'm rooting for Kobe because he is so dirty, and I'm feeling it.

oh by the way

I’m pretty sure (and I’ve been told in the spurs blog also) that Odom was pushed by another spur into Manu.

Lamar's not mean

Odom is not known for that. He was pushed. Doesn’t Lamar hang with the Josh Howard school of basketball relaxation? I think he may have lost a few brain cells along the way.

No lamar attacks

He can randomly hit someone really hard, or in one celtics game this year he speared ray allen. This one he is innocent.

It's playoffs

Lamar was pushed and took Manu down in the process. These are the playoffs and I’m glad that wasn’t called a foul. The Spurs need to feel the sting from this loss. That sting is what will motivate them to take game 2.

The worse call

seemed to be when Gasol slapped the ball (arm) of Duncan under the rim and they gave it to the Lakers.

Those are the breaks though. I don’t expect to see Spurs fans whining about a bad call since they just don’t do that…

Spurs Fans never whine

Except when they’re losing … and then they start comparing Manu Ginobili to Frank Robinson. Also the same guys that were upset that CP3 isn’t “classy” enough because he’s following the flop train.

I guess I’m rooting for the Lakers. I just wish there was someone on that team I cared about. I suppose apathy (Lakers’ players) is better than disgust (Spurs’ players), so I am forced to root for LA. I think we need to put together some sort of support group.

I think we need to change JSun's username

to Dirty or JSun Dirty.

Dirty JSun?

If Majerle gets on the staff, I can’t wait to see the pictures of he and Boris out with underage girls. At that point, I will change my handle.

How about this guy?

Yeah that foul reminded me of the foul on Tim during game 7 vs the Mavs in 06. After “Manu’s Foul on Dirk”. Tim was fouled under the basket trying to win it before overtime. The refs didn’t call it but I can see why. You don’t want that epic series to be decided by free throws. After last night’s loss, I empathize with you guys after game 1 of our series. I will be very interested to see how we bounce back.

Dirty is good

I didn’t see the game you’re talking about, but I’m surprised Odom didn’t slide right off of Ginobili. I’m rooting for the Lakers, too. It’s just physically difficult to root for the Spurs but practical to root for the Lakers. Saves time normally spent reading People magazine this way; just watch the crowd. Deep stuff, J…and are you sure you should be engaging in an activity that jolts the nose and finger?
