That is so wierd man

I always thought he liked the Suns and Steve Nash and Grant Hill….
Damn everybody is getting a coach and we are still wondering. Seems like Avery is not going to coach this season…

Do you blame him?

Collins was one of my choices. But seriously, who would you want to deal with?

Amare, who won’t play defense
Shaq, who can’t jump or hit free throws
Hill, who will go down with an injury at any time
Diaw and Barbosa, who could have saved D’Antoni

or

Derrick Rose, Jason Kidd with a jump shot
Luol Deng, Mr Smooth
Ben Gordon, what Barbosa SHOULD be
Joakim Noah, full of promise, just needs some coaching
Tyrus Thomas, potential Amare

??

I think te draft pick sealed the deal. If he was going to be the Suns coach, he’d have signed on early.

The Suns could still come up with a good coach.

Forget Avery, I’m sick of hearing about him. His success came with Nelson’s team. Kind of like Westphal with Cotton’s team in the 90s.

I'm Not too Upset, But...

Anyone read the article about Kerr interviewing Brian Shaw in the AZ Republic? I’m not sure if Coro is any kind of insider, but it seemed like he put a little extra effort into this one. Maybe because there is just more to discuss about Brian Shaw-his ties to Shaq and Phil Jackson, etc., or maybe he could be one of the front runners. Personally I’d love to take something away from the Lakers.

It's the Arizona talking, really.

Hollinger @ESPN

Jon Hollinger has a pretty good critique of Doug up at the 4-letter site, he points out that Collins has been a slow-pace coach of historic proportions—I didn’t know that. He predicts DC will be a bad match for Chicago, but it obliquely paints him as a bad match for Phoenix as well, although the defense would probably get better.

At this point there aren’t really any known quantities out there that seem like a sure thing, I’m hoping we can catch lightning in a bottle and get one of these promising 1st timers-B. Shaw would be good, getting Shaq to buy in.

Cheapo

We will get a coach the same way the Suns signed players last summer and that is being cheap. Two mil max for a coach, one mil max for a player. Sarver sold the 2010 pick and now it is revealed it is not even a protected lottery pick. At the rate Phoenix is moving, it will be surely be in the lottery in 2010 and the lottery pick will have been sold for one mil. Thanks, Kerr, you are a genius.
