The Celtics just *marmalised* the Lakers..
I am sad that the Suns weren't able to do this, this year, but this might be one of the sweetest sports moments ever. The Celtics didn't just beat the Lakers, they *crushed* them, pounded them, abused, humiliated and debased them, beat them and stole their lunch money.
39 points... Way to go Boston.
What's that I smell?? The stink of Laker humilation and complete and utter defeat.. and what a sweet scent it is.
Just let me take it all in.... Ahhh.
It's good to see your enemy lie there, destroyed.

Defeat
There’s defeat at the hands of a better team.
There’s unlucky breaks and bounces.
There’s close fought heartbreaker.
And then there’s the basketball equivalent of public castration.
Wanna guess which one last night was?

wah, wah, wah....
Yes the Lakers did overachieve this season, and they deserve a little nod for that achievement.
But rolling over like that to the Celtics is beyond shameful. And it’s Kobe’s fault. completely his fault.
Say what you will about our early exit, I can tell you this.. our two-time MVP point guard would not have gone down without a fight, without scratching and clawing at a chance for victory. Neither would LeBron or Chris Paul. Truly great players have heart, and raise their game when it counts.
As I said before, if Nash had played this badly, this series, Scottie Pippen would be running around saying he didn’t deserve to be the MVP. What’s sauce for the goose…

Kobe, the anti-MVP
I hope this puts to bed forever any notion that Mamba belongs in the same breath as MJ. What the Lakers needed here ifrom Kobe is a series like His Airness laid on the Suns in ‘93, where Michael averaged about 44 points. Phoenix fielded a great team that year, and would have won if Jordan had mailed it in like Kobe just did.

Not only does Kobe not belong in the same conversation as Jordan
he even doesn’t belong in the same conversation as Pippen.
Actually I take that back. What Kobe has shown is that he’s really a second banana masquerading as a team leader, and the parallels to Scottie are fairly remarkable, all the way to both of them bailing on their teams in critical situations.
Consider this: Kobe is the 3rd best second banana of the modern era after Pippen and Garnett.

JJ
JJ has the talent to be in that great second banana, unfortunately he left his top dog in Phoenix (Amare) and now he will forever think he should be a #1.
