No
Aside from the off-court “issues” which we now have enough of with The Big Intimidator, Jackson is a carrer 34% three-point shooter and in GS his best year was last year at only 36%. He’d probably get less room to shoot in Phx in Porter’s offense so he isn’t the 3-point shooter that’s needed. Defense? That’s what RoLo is for.

I love
LOVE Stephen Jackson (he has the best tattoo in sports), but this trade doesn’t make a lot of sense, especially for the Warriors.
The Warriors essentially have their own Barbosa in Monta Ellis (undersized scoring combo guard) so I’m not sure how he’d fit with their rotations. Plus, that would have the Warriors trading their emotional leader for a sixth man, which doesn’t make much sense either.
For the Suns, Jackson would surely be a defensive upgrade (but who isn’t an upgrade over Barbosa?), but offensively he’s a much less talented/efficient player than Barbosa. Plus, we already have SFs and Jackson isn’t very effective at the 2. Last, I’m not sure why the Suns would want a guy who a) has been vocal about his desire for a new more lucrative contract and b) has a history of being a volatile locker room presence. I mean, it’s not like the Suns would be giving him a raise either and as much as I love to watch some angry Stephen Jackson, I would rather not depend on ASJ.
