Schedule is Out!!
Well Suns fans the NBA schedule is out, and our SUNS have some pretty tasty matchups for the upcoming season.
We open the season in San Antonio on October 29th, followed by Chris Paul and the Hornets at home the following night. Also on that Saturday at home the SUNS are playing the Up and Coming Blazers with a fresh look at Greg Oden and Jerryd Bayless.
With exciting first three games, the rest of the season has some other interesting match ups.
November 20th. We will host The Lakers for the first time. (Maybe Kobe will finally tell Shaq how his a** tastes.) Hopefully this doesnt result in Kobe dropping 50 to prove a point.
November 28th. We will see Shawn Marion, on the HEAT for the first time. This game is at US Airways and im anxious to see the reaction the fans give him.
December 15th. Mike Dantoni and the Knicks make their first trip to the VALLEY.
CHRISTMAS DAY. Which features 5 GAMES! Spurs at Suns, Hornets at Magic, Celtics at Lakers, Washington at Cavs, and the nightcap Dallas at Portland.
Of course there are the other great season match-ups. The new look Rockets with Ron, Dallas, the Jazz, Detriot and the Celtics will also be fun matches to look forward to. And who knows maybe Baron Davis and Marcus Camby can make the Clippers a fun match up as well.
I was just wondering, what game are SUNS fans most looking forward to for the upcoming season?

It's almost here
Well kinda. I’m hoping that I can get to quite a few games this year. Too much is uncertain about this team but overall i expect them to have a decent year. By decent I mean that they should be somewhere between 5th-8th in the West

It looks like the Suns are out of town this year, though. I can’t work google good enuf to figure out the dates. A little help?

Suns Dancers!
I almost forgot. Don’t forget to vote for the Suns dancers. Fan voting counts for 25% toward selection.
When are we going to have a week dedicated to the Dancers?

Shawn Marion
In case anyone case. I’m not going because I cannot go. It’s for my own psychological well-being. I want to go, but I cannot.
The Rackstar-Marion picture still haunts me.

In many ways
this season will be a lot less stressful as a Suns fan. Few (Suns fans) believe we are serious contenders this year. This means we worry less about stuff and instead just enjoy kicking ass and raising hell. And a team with Nash, Amare, Barbosa, Bell, Diaw, and Shaq will damn sure kick ass and raise hell. That being said, I would be shocked if the Suns lost in the first round again. I say second round at least.

A Comment with a Warning
If you want to be shocked beyond believe, check out Basketbawful (post entitled Epic Manlove: Basketball Fanfiction). Please note that this is the opposite of Safe for Work. If you open it at work, you’ll probably get fired. And then skewered and ostracized. Also, please note that you will be checking out this post at your own risk. Afterwards, you might never be able to watch the Suns or Spurs again. Or watch NBA. Or TV. Or use the Internet. Or breathe.

LOL
What can I say RTG, you WARNED ME!
I’m not surprised that people write that stuff, aswell as I’m not surprised that Nash is the main character on most of these stories.

Tough Opener...
Looks like a tough way to kick things off, a back-to-back with 2 teams that clearly dominated the Suns last year, then a 4-in-5 roadie, but if the Suns can post a good record there that puts a nice jumpstart on things. I guess I’m happy they’re going to be on TV so much, more guaranteed HD broadcasts, and that also means more national press coverage.
Not going to be able to make it to Phoenix for any games, but I’ve got tix to the outdoor game, and one of the @Clippers games is a Saturday afternoon—perfect!

Au contraire
The Hornets clearly dominated us, the Spurs did not. We put it to them pretty good in the regular season, and choked the playoff series away. Ask the Spurs players. They know they dodged a bullet. I’m not saying something stupid like ‘we almost won the championship’ or something. But come on, NO did dominate us. SA did not.

question about last game
Do you know why your last home game against the warriors is actually on the road at Staples Center in L.A.

Looking forward
Those big time matchups vs the Spurs, Heat, Knicks will be good viewing. Same with the Lakers, and seeing how the Suns fair against these teams that have made some important changes, ie. Houston, Golden State, the Clippers etc…

I will try my best to be
at the opening game in San Antonio. Though I hate cheering for the Suns amidst all the Spurs fans, I don’t want to miss this game.
