Hope to set the table for a Cards victory with a Suns victory
Although I’m not convinced the team is ready. They really need to establish some rhythm. Hope Bosh doesn’t go for 42 and 13 like last year…
so
is the game late or what? it should have started about 13 minutes ago…
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
Our announcers are always making excuses for the Suns
Today’s is that they aren’t ready in the mornings for a game.
STOP making excuses and just play basketball!!!
70 points in one quarter???
has any of these players ever heard of the concept called “defense”?
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
woooooooo
nice dunk by barnes
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
it's a good thing
that barbosa can run like something up to 3 mach

I'm here
Finally, and see we’re playing like shit by the box score
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
started to pick up a little bit
lots of chippy early foul calls. the refs clearly had the over

That doesn’t surprise me and I don’t need to watch the game to know that will happen. Hopefully Barnes and Stat can keep their cool and play through it.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
barnes
is palying very good. he’s hitting shots, and playing energized.
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
Okay
It looks really good now. Slow start though. No big deal. GO SHAQ
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
nash has this
wierd psychological problem on defense. his man is called “parker” so he always feels like he has to give up everything.
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
That's all right
But Stat doesn’t have a single board yet?
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
i don't remember him doing ANYTHING
though I missed the first few minutes of the game
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
he had a fair number of points earlier
but at the expense of lackadaisical defense and all sorts of suck

Does he WANT to be traded?
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
I really can’t get my head around him. he’s palying like a peeved kid.
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
finally
nice shot and then some defense and challenging. i guess we have to be happy with that kind of effort now, don’t we…?
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
I really think we’ll be happier if we just view him as a scorer and nothing more. Any extra we get out of him will please us. Think of him like one of those European players.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
nice
saying that to a european… :D

Signing In
considering how I’m nocturnal and dont fall asleep until around 5am, the game starting at 12:30pm for me doesnt make it easy to catch the full game. Thankfully, while in my sleep, my brain said “GET UP, DUMBASS, THE GAME IS ON!” So I got up in time to catch the 2nd quarter. We’re looking good. Everyone seems to be playing well, even Amare :gasp:
i'm working nights and don't know when i'm gonna get some sleep today
with this game and the cards

What do you think about this blazing fast pace?
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
It's working so far
I’d say keep it up. My main concern would be tired legs for tomorrow. But we desperately need this win. I’ll go with whatever is working for now and worry about the other game later. Guys seem to be having fun, don’t they?
"Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it"
I would say so. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to score this many points and they are doing it very well, which would lead me to believe they’ve found something…………maybe they’re doing this on purpose. I like it, if that’s the case. Let’s run some teams off the floor.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
Yup
It doesn’t always work, but when it does we have to take advantage of it. Raptor’s transitions D is very poor today. If they make adjustments in the second half I’d slow down the game and give Shaq some touches. We got to post them up from time to time.
"Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it"
Boston
has won 4 straight. Two against Toronot and two against Jersey. That’s weird.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
Suns running the O
doing a great job passing up quick open 3’s to work the ball inside or break down the Raps poor wing defenders and create open looks. Patience and solid mental effort.
Refs quick whistles helped drive up the score.
Shaq almost had monster highlight after catching Barnes fly pattern long pass in open court dribbled and went for monster slam but Graham streaked in and fouled him first. That would have been something.
Sorry guys for no proper game preview on this one. Just too much stuff going on this weekend.

Zone D
working well for Suns also. W/ Bargnani on the floor they go to more of a 3 – 2 look to keep someone on him at all times but without him the 2 – 3 has been effective as well.

Ha, don’t worry about the pregame, it’s only the Raptors.
And I am really surprised by the pace of this game. I think the shock is wearing off and with the nice lead I feel real good about it. I hope we come out and storm them in the 2nd half.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
4 turnovers!
I REALLY like that. But we had 3 at the end of the half against the Wolves.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
Did I jinx us?
2 TOs already. Three if you count the airball.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
Ahh, the 2nd half
We always have great openers, but can never close. I’d really hate to see that streak continue.
I agree
But so far it looks like they’re keeping the intensity.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
cause Nash hasnt scored
which sucks, cause the only fantasy players I got playing today are Nash and Hill. I’m going to need a strong performance from these two.
I think
It only means our bench is way better than their bench.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
the thing about Nash and his assists numbers
Nash could get a big number of assists with each game. But it only counts as an assist if the other players make the shots. Nash looks like he’s having suc a great game because everyone else is knocking them down for a change. Although Nash IS having a great game cause he’s not being sloppy with the ball too. Good job! I wondered if that MVP player already retired and whats left is just an old school baller.
How could would Bosh be with Marion?
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
you got it backwards
how good would Marion be with Bosh. Bosh will draw the double and Marion’s the type of dude that’s too versatile to ever double off of. As long as their guards can drain shots, and Marion hasthe freedom to basically roam the court and attack any opening, he’s set. Thats what makes him great. Thats what made US so great when he was here. With Amare playing his best ball, and our backcourt having hot hands, Marion was just untouchable.
I don’t like referees.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
I find I like referees when I bet the same way they do!

His first rebound was at the very end of the second quarter. His second was just a ltitle bit ago near the end of the third.
He’s not black Jesus, he’s black Nowitski.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
The talent is undeniable. It’s time for him to stop talking, stop screaming ‘and one’ and to simply play basketball the way he is capable.

Personally, I’m done thinking Stat can be the Man, and view him only as a scorer. If he gives me anything else (10 boards, 5 assists, a steal or two, a few blocks) then it’ll be like finding twenty dollars in your pocket you didn’t know you had.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
Amare FT
Shaq looks dissapointed in Amar’e for missing that one. LOL

Why are we only up 4?
This team is so infuriating in wasting good efforts and not being able to put teams away
A stupid theory
We’re on cruise control, saving it all up for the playoffs.
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
caps was deserved
not because of the question, but the situation. Anything I’d say right now would come out like that. What will it takes for these guys to end games. Maybe they’re just putting on a show and keeping fans on their seat. Well, I’m not on my seat. I’m standing up, yelling, and flailing my arms. They piss me off so much.
3 attempts for nash?
3? as in: three???? drei? tre? tri? három? come on, shoooot!
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
15 assists though
can’t argue with that…

It was better than a flop
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
earlier he didnt have to
everyone else was knocking them down. But it seems they went dry…again. So he’s gotta have a strong 4th, but I dont know if he’s committed to being a scorer.
I think he’s committed to situations. If he needs to be a scorer I have no doubt he can be.
by ArizonaCactus on Jan 18, 2009 12:48 PM MST up reply actions
he'll have to
he knows he can knock them down. he knows the team needs him, and he has always done what he had to since joining the suns, and probably his whole career

I’m so glad Shaq is back in.

he needs to start passing out of the double team to wide-open shooters

They are cheating. It’s so obvious. How did Shaq foul going up for the rebound?

the refs clearly have bet the over on this game. the early foul calls, this late—game foul calling…

and now they hit the 3 from the corner
cause if the Raps studied tapes, they’d know that we get rocked on final plays right there.
oh no
stream fucked up in the last 13 seconds? i’ll commit suicide
Once upon a time the Suns got out on the break... and along came Steve sucKerr
I think it’s over, the refs are talking about something. Who knows?

31 points from our scorer!
Go STAT!
Take care of the little things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
Nash was just Brilliant
Has someone ever dominated a game with only 9 points?
"Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it"
Exactly my thought!
Credit to his team mates though for playing smarter ball. Not rushing shots and moving without the ball and then finishing on those Nash passes.
But he was awesome even though he missed two wide open 3’s to seal the game. Get’s the rim and finishes. Great stuff.
Amare btw played much harder in the 2nd half. Maybe Porter got in his face during the half.
Cards up 7-0 early btw. What a day. I CAN NOT believe the Cards could get to the super bowl. I simply can not believe it.
