All Star Votes? If Shaq keeps it up he’ll deserve MVP votes

Washed up. Unmotivated. Lazy. Finished.

All terms used to describe Shaquille O’Neal upon his arrival in Phoenix. Luckily for Suns fans, someone forgot to send the memo to Shaq–or they did send it and Shaq didn’t like what he heard.

While his retirement is just 545 days away (Thanks to BrightSideoftheSun.com’s retirement countdown) Shaq is playing like the calendar reads 2004.

Whether it’s the Suns training staff, or a renewed desire to prove he is the best center of all time, Shaq has gone from an old man running out the clock on his career to being a difference maker in the Western Conference.

While much has been written about Shaq being a legit all star this year, what about taking it one step further?

Let's not get

too far ahead of ourselves Greg :)

He’s playing well in 30min per night but LeBron, Kobe, D-Wade, CP3…

and let’s not forget that Amare is going to be in the MVP race this year. Just ask him and he’ll show you his video resume

Playing well.

I agree he is playing well. As for MVP, I won’t go that far. There is stiff competition out there, and some of them are more likely for MVP. All Star Game not out of the question though.

you guys are missing the point

MVP votes, not the MVP award. remember, votes are given to the top 5 players with corresponding points. if the suns finish with a good record, would it be so improbable to give shaq a 3rd place vote? i would think not. :) he’d definitely not win the MVP but no doubt in my mind he will get votes.
