dirk for amare!

basically we trade amare and barbosa for dirk. dallas gets to rebuild, and we have a tandem of nash and dirk. this is the sink or swim strategy. another would be to just give amare to dallas for expiring contracts and draft picks. what do you guys think? dirks contract is 3 years long though, so we lose out in the '10 bonanza.

heck i hate amare so much
id trade ben gordon and luol deng for him
Eh...I like Dirk a lot more than Amare
But he’s not going to be the difference here in Porter’s idiotic system.
Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
i believe steve kerr wont fire porter for one reason only
he knows that if he does, it will reflect that he made the mistake hiring him in the first place and hed look much more stupid than he already does
Sorry guys BUT
Dirk and Nash couldn’t do it together 6 years ago…WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THEY COULD DO IT NOW….ok lets trade our soft jump shooting big for AN EVEN SOFTER JUMP SHOOTING BIG…really come on!!! Dirk is nothing more than a 7 foot shooting guard..
Amare's softer than Dirk.
Amare’s nothing more than a 6 foot 10 inch small forward

its not like amare rebounds anyway
we might as well get a better shooting, better shot blocking PF
Dallas would never
and I mean never do the deal. Everyone is putting Amare at a level he is not.
"Have You heard of the Boom on Mizar 5?"
heres why i think this deal could work
dallas has hit a wall. they arent gonna win the championship, plus their core is old. by the time they get help for dirk he’d be too old. amare and barbosa on the other hand, are young. dallas can build around them. dont forget, dirks contract expires in 2011 so dallas couldnt pick up a free agent. even if amare opts out, this still clears cap space for dallas in time for the free agent bonanza. this is sort of like the chauncey for AI trade, which while many people are criticizing detroit for making – the team doing so has the last laugh in 2010.
Kidd would lobby for Amare...
and Dallas would make the trade. And you would see Kidd revert back to his days in New Jersey, where he was running fast breaks, and throwing alleys to K-Mart, RJ, and VC. All of a sudden, Dallas would become more explosive, and Amare would have that initial chip on the shoulder to prove PHX and everyone else wrong.
All in all, I think that would be a bad deal for the Suns, not because it would revitalize Dallas, but it would leave the Suns with really only one inside threat in Shaq. Getting Bosh would be a better trade and fit for PHX, because he’s younger, plays inside, and is about to reach his prime if he’s not already there.
