Coach Porter not happy with let down
I can't say I blame him. With the Suns up 21 points with just over 6 minutes left there's no reason for the let down. The Suns basically went on two big runs to win this game instead of consistent constant pressure.
Bitter sweet win for sure and I like that the team isn't satisfied either except for Amare who had plenty of excuses ready...

What a refreshing change...
…from four excuse-filled seasons with Mike D’Antoni’s. For all his oddities, I’m glad Terry Porter is holding his players accountable for this. Having a letdown against a Clippers team w/o three of their top players is not the stuff of championship-caliber teams.

Wow
Shut your mouth already Amare! Unbelievable! This guy is not a champion, take a clue from Shaq. So what you will about O’Neil’s off court antics, but he is a team guy. He wants to win and I just don’t see it from Amare.

We have to make a good team
The analysis after a victory is more credible that the aalysis after a defeat. The problem is that my language is not good enough to be able to express myself well.
There are several things clear:
- In recent years, there was 1 error on the part of GM to manage the election of the draft.
- This year there was 2 errors: the election of a point guard and the election of the center.
- The team needs a point guard to rest Nash
- The coach needs to improve rotations.
- It’s no normal that the team play without point guard the last 9 minutes.
- It is not normal Nash to play 15 minutes in a row
- It is not normal Amare to play 15 minutes in a row.
- It’s not normal the lack of confidence on the bench.
- We must improve the TO.
- Barbosa is a big scorer but I think he is dispensable, I would try to trade him for a big man, like Collison, and I know that Amundson is very intense but we need annotation and quality in the paint.
As I said the other day, it’s possible that Nash and Amare don’t sign an extension and then THE SUNS will be a team without stars, so I’ll try to change them; I think Amare + Nash X Bosh + Bargani + Calderon would be good for the team.
- Bosh can do the same statistic than Amare and would be compatible with Sacq.
- Calderón can do the same statistic than Nash and made less TO.
- Barganani can play 3 or 4.
- First team: Calderon – Jrich – Barnes – Bosh – Sacq
- 2nd. team: Dee Brown – Tucker – Hill – Bargnani – Collison
- Rest of the team: Lopez – Amundson – Dragic – Dudley
A good team is not the sum of good players; right now the Suns are the sum of good players but not a good team.

hm.
i think it’s fine to play amaré 15 minutes in a row, just not against a clippers’ team that we’re destroying. though, lopez has been playing pretty awfully as of late, so maybe that was porter’s motivation? who knows.
and, the nash/amaré for bosh/calderon/bargnani trade probably wouldn’t go through. i know bosh will probably not be resigning with toronto when the time comes, but to get calderon for nash would be tough. nash is still great, and has maybe another good year or two left, but at some point, his legs/back are going to fail him. that’s where toronto would be wary in trading for steve nash. i don’t like the trade.
one point i do agree with is getting a veteran big. i don’t know about collison, though. i think OKC might want more for him than just barbosa, and i don’t want to give up lopez. i still have faith in the kid. OKC has already got their starting swing positions covered, since barbosa clearly isn’t a full fledged PG.
i don’t know what will happen with the suns’ future, but i think they can still figure it out. i like what porter is doing, and i’m glad he’s not taking excuses. let’s just see what happens from here.

Bosh
isn’t exactly killing it this season either…
With all of Amare’s faults I still thinks he’s better then Bosh or at least they are very very close

Disagree
I heard the post-game comments.
He wanted a bigger lead to let the reserves in. How much bigger do you want it than 20+ with less then 6 minutes left in the game?
I’ve got a bigger problem with periods 2 and 3 than the last 6 minutes of the game.

Collison
Nuggets wants Collison.
I think he is a good fit por Suns. The GM must think about it
I think if Suns make a bad season, Amare will go out, so it’s the momment to trade him.

Amare can't leave next season, he can leave in 2010
Unless the team misses the playoffs trading Amare is the stupidest thing we could do. Nick Collison’s weak, if we trade Barbs for anybody on the OKC roster it should be Wilcox.

Point guard
And of course we need a true point guard; I don’t know who, but somebody.

I know that Amare has a contract until 2010 but could try to force his departure if he isn’t happy and Nash go out too.
Wilcox is a bad version of Amare
