Kick Pritchard in the Nads!
During the draft, we heard endless accounts of Kevin Pritchard as the chessmaster genius behind the resurging Portland Trailblazers.
Turns out, any GM that plays Darius Miles 2 games will kick in clause that will destroy Portland's cap.
The plot thickens with an emailed threat sent to all NBA teams from Portland's front office. As Adrian points out, Portland is currently collecting benefits on Miles for a "career-ending" injury. Clearly Miles is healthy enough to play, as he's done it 8 times this season. Why should Portland be collecting career-ending injury benefits on Miles? This is getting tasty...
Place your bets on which GM is gonna stick it to the Blazers!

Won't be us
unless we sign him to a 10 day but I doubt it. My best is division rivals – Denver or Utah.

29 GM's
would make a “professional mistake” by not signing him.

Be sure
to follow the excellant coverage of the sage over at Blazers Edge. Ben has video today of Pritch responding (he’s doesn’t look happy) and an exclusive interview w/ Miles’ agent.
What a cluster fuck. This sure will take the Blazers down a peg or two in public relations perspective.
I am thinking that their legal team must have come from the GW Bush White House.
