BSotS Reader Poll: Highly Meta Feedback Time

Hey guys and gals. Heading into the season I am curious what aspects of our coverage blather you appreciate the most.

The poll below only allows one answer which I know will be hard since there's so much to love about Bright Side of the Sun but go ahead pick your "top" feature.

Any feedback in the comments is most appreciated as well and THIS IS NOT a blatant attempt as self-congratulatory pats on the back.

We want to hear what you think. What you like. What you don't. What you want more of. What you want less of.

Hey

Are you going to check out the Women’s team in your town? You should have a couple of Mercury players again

Looks like there's a runaway winner right no!

Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."

I enjoy the game threads as well...

but I wish more than 3 or 4 people would participate.

The Bedge has insane game-day forums… a lot of fun

They say "don't swim with the sharks", but I'm faster than sharks so it's not a big deal...

no doubt

they also have about 10 times the total traffic we do…That’s apparantly what happens when you combine a one pro sport town with a lot of rain (oh and two great bloggers as well)

The regular season game threads get pretty bumpin' around here

And I gotta say I prefer them to the 1,000 posts of “Rudy!”

you guys really

carry the threads. TexSun when she ran this joint was a master at the game thread. I can’t do it. I can’t pay attention to the game and comment….brain doesn’t work fast enough for it

Game day threads

I remember some awesome game threads with a dozen or more participants the year of the ‘leaving the bench’ playoff disappointment. I quit following game threads when they went to the new SB Nation format. It was more confusing, and some guys hijacked the threads to carry on long-running inside jokes that had nothing to do with the game – not worth my time.

but it's NOT a lot of fun

when BEdgers swarm on all other blogs. the thing is: they’ve got a great young team, bu I’m sick of hearing they’re the best at everything. best players, coach, GM and so on. I used to visit BEdge regularly (as all other SBN blogs) but not anymore. and no, not because I’m jealous, but because they just have no control.

my opinion

personally, I like the game recaps/previews the most. Sometimes, I miss a game, especially if not on nat’l TV, and love to hear the ins and outs of what happened besides box score. I agree that there really aren’t enough people on the game threads with regularity, but hopefully that will increase this year. There aren’t any suns fans in my area so it’s nice to be able to talk to some non-spurs fans.

I don’t tend to listen to interviews much, mainly because it’s so much faster to just read a recap of an interview, but I do admit that it adds a lot of depth to the typical blog. Same thing goes with interviews and such. Normally it isn’t groundbreaking stuff, and I tend to pass over it. Maybe if an interview or audio tells most Suns fans something new or unusual I would be more likely to not pass it over in the interest of time. But, this stuff is really in-depth and much kudos for that. I just don’t see myself as having the time to listen to all of them.

Also, I don’t know if it will be too much during the year, but I love the daily links. Some very interesting stuff on there and I almost always check out at least 2 or 3 of those. Maybe during the year it will be a bit much with game recaps and previews, but maybe a once a week link page? Something during off-days to keep us daily readers busy.

Keep up the good work, guys!

thanks

the daily links will continue….daily

Really they are easy to do and the only thing that stops them is if there’s nothing out there to link to which during the season isn’t likely to happen
