Around SBN: The Worst Team Ever Projected?

His performance against the Clippers was uninspired, and it hasn't gone unnoticed. This, in addition to reading that there's been some concern within the organization about whether or not he'll get back to his former level, has me pretty worried.

Patience is a keyword here.

Amare is really just starting to come back from a catastrophic eye injury. He’s got to get himself into playing shape. Like I said last night, he may need 15-20 games to get himself back to the level that we Suns fans are used to.

That said though, we should expect just that — the Stoudemire we’re used to. He’s not going to wow us with his defense or rebounding once he’s back to form. But we can expect a lot of Sportscenter highlights from him on the offensive end.

Stoudemire has a lot to play for this season. If he has a strong bounce back this season, he’s most likely going to try the free agent market and not take his 17 million option. In order to even be considered for a max contract this summer he’s got to play like an absolute beast to help downplay his injuries on the open market.
