Phoenix Bright Siders Meetup?

[Note by Phoenix Stan, 11/28/09 1:10 PM MST ]

It's a quiet day so I am bumping this up to get a bit more input...I am looking at the Miami Heat game on Friday, Jan 8th. What do you think? Can we get enough people to make this worth doing?

Star-divide

We've tried this before and never really gotten enough interest to make anything happen but based on the responses in the "Where are you from?" poll I figured it was worth trying again.

So I am throwing this out there to see who might be interested in getting together in the Phoenix area. With the Suns no longer selling out we could get a group discount that would probably come with some benefits like early admission or we could just do a local bar and watch a road game kind of thing.

I haven't thought through any details on where or when but first lets see if there's enough interest to make it worth the time...

Leave any ideas in the comments and we'll see where this goes.

Great Idea

I voted “Down for Anything”, but a group rate for a game would be awesome.

I'm with you

I’m down for anything, but a group rate for a game would be awesome…. or I coulda just said +1… haha

I'm only in PHX on the weekends or else I'd love to go

If we could do a Fri – Sun eve game though I’d be down!

weekend games work better for me as well.

unless you’re talking between december 15th and january 21st (or so). then i’m good whenever. otherwise, semester duties take over my life.

i think i just realized, i’m probably the youngest of the regularly contributing members of the site.

22 here

Not that that is entirely relevant. But I’m from san antonio and I’d strongly consider coming for like a friday or saturday night game. If anyone has a place I can crash that would be an extra bonus but maybe not necessary. Hope I could pull this off with a 3 or 4 day weekend but I have to know within the next week or so so I can take off work. Would be a blast, man.

but the drive from Fargo, ND would be a bit lengthy…

Great Idea tho!

I voted for a local pub road game

since I shoot the home games =). And I only miss home games if I’m out of town or dead. So far I’m still alive.

I'm with this.

Road game get together sounds fun.

Any road game sounds great!

Saturday 12/12 against the Nugs or Friday 01/15 against ATL would be another good one. Weekends work better for me but I would make a weekday game work.

I like the 12/12 game with the Nugs

That game should be off the hook and we could get pretty crazy… I really dislike some of the Nuggets

I'm cool with the 12/12 game BUT WHERE AT???

I’m in the west side, and there’s a bunch of cool places out here. Anyone have any ideas? Native New Yorker, Buffalo Wild Wings, what do you guys think?

by SunsFTW on Dec 3, 2009 1:51 PM MST up reply actions

Majerele’s? They’d have to give us a discount of sorts…Right?

if majerle's could do that, i'm in.

otherwise, native is always a solid place to go. i like their wings better than buffalo wild wings’ anyway.
