Is a tie for the best starting record — not the record.

not that I think that’s going to happen tonight but hey, as long as the team plays hard I’m good

I think it could

Orlando is struggling a bit with early injuries, and though it’s a contender they’re still trying to gel. We can jump them early in the season and steal a win. I hope. It’ll be a lot easier to beat them now than in January, anyway.

I love Barbosa, but Vince is way better. No contest. Like I’ll put down my knife if you put down your gun.

After last nights second half I believe in this team.

First half I was swearing at the team for their lack of heart and willingness to hustle but second half, they proved me wrong and out hustled the Heat.

Great to see Amare making significant progress on a game by game basis. He keeps this up andI might not hate him anymore.

Oh and Steve Nash is good.

by keify34 on Nov 4, 2009 4:53 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

I didn't think the Suns got out

hustled early. They were missing shots the Heat played really well and made a of big three’s

Suns kept it close despite poor shooting. That’s always a good sign

Yeah, something wasn't right in the first half but it wasn't because the Suns weren't trying

Keify, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who hated Amare. I’m very happy to say no one listened to me and blew up the team. I’m also glad I was wrong about Shaq and now that he’s gone and we have a clean slate, some pretty pictures are showing up on it.

competely think the hustle wasn’t there. Or at least it wasn’t at the level that Miami were hustling. I remember at least 3 seperate incidents of the Heat diving for loose balls or for rebounds that they had no right getting and coming away with the ball. And I think that was killing us in the 2nd quarter.

But second half we looked like a different team.

by keify34 on Nov 4, 2009 5:00 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

I'm just gonna say

It looked like a few times the Heat went on stretches where their athleticism was way too much for us to keep up with. But the Heat couldn’t maintain their short bursts of superior performance. It was nuts. After the middle of the third quarter the Heat ran out of gas.

Also, I know it’s early but I’m already concerned by the mount of energy Nash is having to put in to carry us over the line.

4 games gone and in 3 of those he’s dragged us over the finishing line and 2 of those 3 games have been against the Clips and T-Wolves.

Cause for concern? Perhaps…

by keify34 on Nov 4, 2009 5:02 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

I honestly don't think it's a concern

And if Nash can’t carry this team for 82 games plus 4 playoff series, then we’re not going anywhere anyway. Some nights someone will step in and pull the load, but face it, Nash is this team and he’s got to be the man. If he’s not good enough, we’re not good enough.

‘If Nash can’ carry this team for 82 games plus 4 playoff series’ – so no pressure on him then!
I’m guessing that Nash is gonna carry the load early on until Amar’e feels his way back and then when he’s firing on all cylinders and happy they’ll share the work load.

by keify34 on Nov 4, 2009 5:07 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

It's the NBA, if there's no pressure there's no pulse!

I hope you’re right about Amare. If he can come on late and show leadership and carry us and give the old men a break until clutch time, we will be very, very dangerous.

If we shut down their shooters, Dwight won’t kill us alone. Not the same case with Dwayne Wade

the jury is still out

He has great potential. I was a big doubter on day 1, and even on day 2. But as the season progressed last year, I saw him growing and learning and became a supporter. Once I saw him dunk, deal was sealed. I see how much he has grown here in his sophomore year, and if he’s come this far in such a short period of time, there is no doubt in my mind that he’ll have a solid career. Probably wont be an All Star, but wont have a hard time finding work.

A) He shouldnt be lthe team leadier in that catagory
 but
B) He’s not being selfish anymore

He took some selfish shots, and 4 assists isn't good enough for our team leader, whoever it is

But he’s doing stuff outside of shooting which is what everyone looks at for him, and use that to say he’s laying an egg. But I’m defending him like I did last night. He’s +1 in plus/minus and he’s contributing.

jared dudley sucks. he leaves people open at the three and dosen’t hustle to get back on d. he doesn’t take any good shots either. why wouldn’t gentry take him out in the third when he was doing so horrible

by RUMZEE on Nov 4, 2009 7:09 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

Yeah your, right, Dudley never hustles

by Wil Cantrell on Nov 4, 2009 7:10 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

dont blame it on the pot

cause I lit up in the 1st also. If anyone on this team hustles, its Dudley.

by KnowGood on Nov 4, 2009 7:12 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

we easily lost 15 points due to his bad shots and bad defense

lol

I’m sorry if you’re an actual Suns fan, but you sound like a complete joke. You come here ragging on one of only three players who have shown up for this game.

Is today opposite day?

Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." OK lemme do some math, even if he gave up 15 points singlehandedly were still down 11 points.

Meh

Didnt think we’d get stomped this badly, but I also didnt think we’d win tonight either. Just gimme a couple more wins for the road trip and I’ll be happy

If we end up 6-2 out of this roadtrip I'll be happy.

Of course, we’d then have to go 25-2 to match our 04/05 start…

It's overrated.

We need to improve consistently. Friday in Boston is gonna be an indicator of what kind of team we have. Not this game. This game they threw in the towel. I think they got together at half time to decide it wasn’t worth the effort. Let’s see what happens Friday.

Sure feels like it

I dont expect a team in transition like us to automatically do well in their first back-to-back game, especially on the road against the defending Eastern Conference champions.

Though I was expecting a much closer game

exactly

To assuming the Suns were gonna continue rolling like they have in the second game of a back to back and at Orlando would be a bit much.

Too optimistic...

I was thinking something more realistic like 75 and 7.

Nothing from Hill

Little from JRich Frye and Nash. Just take the whooping and move on

this orlando team is very good

positives from Amare and Dragic

That's what I didn't want to happen though

A collective team let down.

Maybe Nash has an off night, or JRich, Frye, or Hill, but not all of them at once. That sucks.

Hill and JRich

37mins combined, 0pts.

But Dragic with 15 in 27. Stat 25 in 34.

Some positives. A couple reasons we’re not down by 50.

Exactly

this is our off night. Remember before we hit the road? We said if we’re 3-2 we’re happy. This is one of those losses. And I’m sure they’re thinking Boston is the other.

And I saw a +31 next to Matt Barnes

Don’t remember that happening last year.

Believe me, it wasn't him.

I’d be +31 with Howard and against a Suns team that didn’t put in the effort.

Wow, Nash only had 4 assists? I didn’t get to watch the game, but looking at the box score, it appears the Suns threw in the towel fairly early in this one, since most of the starters played less than 25 minutes.
