trade amare and barbosa

we need to have players that will play defense

these two players are great players, but injuries have made them only average players

amare and barbosa are 27, still young but 7years in the league is long enough to learn how to play defense

they are valuable trading chips

we have a great record, but we are not contenders and wont be with these players

tyrus thomas, taj gibson and kirk hinrich, maybe a first rouind pick for next year for amare and barbosa

im happy

at least we have some players who will defend and at bargain price

thoughts?

:)

Better yet, trade everyone! Seems like the right thing to do.

Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."

Wow we have a bad game

And it’s trade everyone, fire the whole staff, blow this shit up time!

Plenty of season left.

Well,

when I think contenders, I think Tyrus Thomas and Kirk Hinrich.

Or

We could enjoy the record we have right now and take the season 1 game at a time. But that would be too easy.

If I am the Bulls

I would jump all over the prospect of two players that “are 27, still young but 7years in the league is long enough to learn how to play defense”

meant to say

I would jump all over the prospect of two players that are 27, still young and have been in the league 7years and haven’t been able to learn how to play defense

Stop hating on Barbosa!

and ditch the Gorilla icon I’ve been using fo at least 3 years, poser! Two anti-Barbosa posts in a row? Look how listless the Suns offense is without Barbosa! At 5-6 mil. a year Barbosa is a great value. The Suns have tried to trade him numerous times, but the fact is that Barbosa is not very valuable in a trade because he plays SG (a loaded NBA position) and is undersized by NBA standards. However, in the Suns system he is like a sniper rifle attached to a funny car.

I HATE THE PHOENIX AREA FANS. You all fail to acknowledge the elephant in the room. You blame poor defense on anyone but Nash. It all starts with Nash. First rule of basketball, stop the ball. Honestly, whenever Nash moves his feet and successful keeps his man in front of him I’m amazed b/c it is such a rarity.

Amare makes his boneheaded defensive plays. But he’s also not a bad 1 on 1 defender. Where he lapses is in rotations and scheme. But what drives me nuts is taking him out at the end of games for defense? WHAT! That’s when he tries…lol. AKA BLAZERS LOSS thanks Gentry. Not for nothing, but I know any of you that pay attention to the Suns know that Amare has made some huge defensive plays at the buzzer. TD block, Brad Miller block. I know there’s more those are the two that come to mind. And if he’s switching defensively…why on earth is Nash in the game at the end? He’s easily our biggest defensive liability. I give props to Nash; however, it isn’t just a Nash bash here. He clearly knows he lacks defensive ability so he finds ways to get the most out of what he can do. Most noticeably; taking charges.

I just can’t believe Phoenix fans even consider trading Amare as a positive. You will all regret it if he leaves, may spend decades trying to find another player of that caliber. I’m more of an Amare fan than I am a Suns fan. I watch Amare’s demeanor, attitude, swagger, as much if not more than any of you. Plus I can relate to him in many different ways athletically, but i won’t get into that. And one thing I can say with confidence, is that if the “leader” of the team he is on is defensive minded, Amare could be on the all defensive team.
