Amare cannot get taken
by Hickson like that. 1 foul 4 minutes in. Remember that.

2 fouls on Amare at the 3:30 mark of 1Q
Fail.

the stram is well behind! -7 to -22 !
What’s up? Nobody can rebound, nobody can shoot !
I should perhaps go to bed right now….
Enjoying the bright side!
not watching, what happened?
Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
we are all witnesses
Lebron stole the ball from Amare at about mid-court with one second left and promptly drained a buzzer beating 3 from about mid-court

I would bench them all

I thought 14-3 was inflated, but we look bad.

I don’t care if we are tired for the trip or whatever. The first quarter was terribly awful. One of the worst I can remember.

I don't mind watching the Suns lose, but I can't stand watching them refuse to compete.

We look so bad

we look SOOOOO bad
The Law and Order detectives have come from New York to Cleveland to check to see if the Suns have a pulse

How bad do we look?
We look SOOOO bad that when Amare’s kid showed the referee a crayon drawing, the ref called a tech on Amare

Yesterday I played soccer for the first time after 1 year. I didn’t want to. It was cold. It was late and I was already tired. At the end of the game I thought about my performace and I really sucked. And I barely sweat. However…trust me, I played harder than the Suns tonight.

Does anyone else get a feeling that if they get blown out in this one, as well, it’s going to be a nasty downward spiral? This team hasn’t often been tough mentally. This season seemed to be different, but we’ll see.
OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY
Crashing the [message] boards from the heart of Spurs Nation, San Antonio, Texas. GO SUNS!
we should pull a popovich
sit out some starters before the game starts

ugliest numbers I've ever seen
certainly not Suns type of numbers
with the money we’re paying this team, how is nobody able to buy a bucket

Why does Shaq have 0 fouls so far?
I thought we could just PnR him to death.

Go to the locker room, drink some gatorade or 5-hour energy or whatever, watch some Bruce Lee movies, etc. Do anything you can to get fired up.

Where is the 14-3 team?
Something happened to them on the way to NYC? There are no words to describe the effort shown tonight. Just awful.
"Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it"
Time for a bit of balance...
…look, we all knew we were never as good as 14-3. We all accepted that we’d had an unbelievable start to the season and that everyones favourite son/sun was being mentioned in the MVP talk was like a fairytale. That wasn’t us. We were being spoilt.
BUT, todays game and yesterdays games aren’t us either. We’re firmly in the middle somewhere.
Ok, we suck right now but I’m actually pretty appalled at how quickly we’ve turned on the team. It’s a sh*tty effort by all accounts. No excuses there but b*tching about certain players isn’t gonna help.
I think the Suns are doing this to help us fans forget about last night. “You thought New York was bad? Just wait until Cleveland!!”
NY will always be worse. they're the knicks.

All I want out of this game
Is to at least come out and compete in the second half, the win is out the window, it would be a hail marry at this point. Just want to see this team attempt to play some basketball like we all know they can.
It's time
Put in Dragic, Clarke, Fropez, Dudley and Tucker. And rotate Amundson through to give guys a rest when they get tired.
Everybody else sits. and deservedly so.

Well....
you could bowl me over with a feather (which btw is the Suns defensive game plan). I didn’t see this one coming. Ouch
Still…a long season ahead of us. Plenty of time to….oh screw it. This blows.
I’ll watch later. Got to get kids to bed, dinner, etc…

You gotta Clock work orange style pry the eyes open at sit this one out, no matter how bad it hurts!

If I were you
I would just start at the 2nd half and ignore the first two warm-up quarters

By the way, your post about yesterday blowout was quite welcome… almost refreshing! thanks

Speaking of really cooling off ...
What the crap happened to Brandon Jennings? He went from shooting like 55% to shooting 25%.
regression to the mean

Next time you write a preview
against the Cavs, don’t write about LeBron James. You might be on to something.

Jared Dudley "huh?"
that says it all. we’re not on the same page
but it looks like we’re getting there
we’ll send it to OT and win there
Yeah
The punching the ref move isn’t winning him any friends. I mean if he would at least punch the air away from the ref, but when you look the ref in the eye and punch at him, yeah I can understand the T.
It's actually a rule.
Check the Video Rulebook on the NBA’s site. Pretty cool stuff all around there.

I love it. I think my favorite section involved plays in the protected area underneath the rim.

Amare and the refs. Sounds likie an Elton John song.
April 29, 2008 Total Eclipse of the Sun. Is the sky falling?
Just re-watched that.
Varejao made a hell of a play to get a hand on that ball. Not saying it was the right decision, but it was a nice thought.
Contributor: Bright Side of the Sun Twitter: @MikeLisboa
hate to bring up ...
the “trade amare” talk this early and in the middle of a game. But this seems to becoming his signature play…. play uninterested in one game or even in the first half.. then come up with a big game or the 2nd half to quiet the criticism. i know everybodys playing lousy but Amare “teasing” us with his up and down game seems to be the only consistent aspect of his game this year (the last couple of seasons actually). And he’s suppose to be the top max contract star. Is it his injury? or he simply doesnt have the mentality of top stars like Kobe n LEbron to focus or will their teams to wins.
Suns offense has picked up.
Not so much the defense unfortunately.
Contributor: Bright Side of the Sun Twitter: @MikeLisboa
possible?
if we straight up run, score, and actually get some stops…we could pull this right out of our asses. Cleveland will get a scolding for a 4Q meltdown, but thats not our problem.
Dragic ftw

and not play nash at all for the fourth quarter?
dragic playing well. we couldve done nash and dragic at the same time—go small.
also, i wonder where is lou?
Great concentration there for Goran
to avoid travelling there

….
NOT.
we have three days to find our mojo in PHX.
find it, reclaim it, spray it all over the Kings, pack it up, and take it on the road.
Well I got all I wanted
They competed in the 2nd half, that’s all I asked after that horrible start.

Positves....
Amare finally got double digit rebounds wit 12… Frye made 4 threes on the raod…. Dragic matched Nash’s stats in 16 minutes… and we shot 43% from 3 when we started at 15%
I haven't watched...
the first half but i stayed in the 3rd quarter.
I would say they really tried hard to compete in 3rd and climb back from the horrible shooting first half (not so much D though)
