Nash
is not going to get greedy and jack up threes :-)
The key is timeliness. Of late he's waited a bit too long to help out. That's not faulting him
His teammates need to help out more. But right now, he and Amare are carrying us

hopefully he wont need to at the end of the game..
Lets hope that he’s sitting on the bench joking with the rest of the team while tucker and clark get their presents in the form of playing time in a blowout.
Regarding communist offenses
I sometimes feel that it’s just not good for a team to be “too” ball sharing orientated.
Don’t get me wrong, team play is the essence, but I really feel that everyone should have a defined role on a team and stick to it.
The suns have too many guys that do a bit of everything.
In that sense, I agree with you, and feel that J-Rich should just be an offensive machine, even if he has to get 20 shots a game.
Let’s hope Leandro get’s there once.
ha communist offenses....I read that like Mao or Stalin's practice of murdering their own people.

true, but we’re not really playing that well because we’ve been struggling to score. Ideally, I’d love to see Nash scoring about 10 and handing out 15 assists, but its just not happening now. The points have to come from somewhere besides Amare.

would anyone trade Sheed for James harden in fantasy land?
the two are averaging about the same but harden is getting more consistent minutes
Blogging Suns Basketball. Twitter: @willcantrellphx
by Wil Cantrell on Dec 25, 2009 2:26 PM MST up reply actions
Absolutely.
I’ve had Harden on my roster for a few months, and sticking through the inconsistency, he’s started to average pretty well across the board.
Sheed, on the other hand, has been wildly inconsistent this season, and whereas Harden’s FG% and overall productivity is likely to go up, Sheed’s will stay the same at best, unless Perk or Garnett go down with an injury.

i don't either
this team, without the ability to make consistent stops, ends up exerting so much energy climbing uphill to get back into games, that they don’t have enough left for the fourth quarter…
one would think that would make them focus even more early in games to avoid such a thing.

More Dragic ball-handling.
I think the Suns need to focus on letting Dragic initiating the halfcourt offense. He does well on the break, but they keep him on a short leash when they slow it down. It’s hurting his development and the 2nd unit’s production.

The Clips with 12 offensive rebounds in the 1st half.
For some perspective, these are the offensive rebounds by some other teams that played (48 minutes) today:
Cavs – 5 off rebs
Lakers: 14 off rebs
Celtics – 10 off rebs
Magic – 9 off rebs
Heat – 8 off rebs
Knicks – 14 rebs
But it’s not about the Clips being tougher. The Suns are getting caught up on switches around the basket, or trying to stop penetration to the hoop… either of which leaves them out of position to get rebounds.
FG% factors in as well but your point is taken

Bright Side of the Sun, where Suns basketball never looked so good.
The transcription of what was said is at the end.
While pretty funny, it’s really just funny in the “Did he really just say that?!” way.

I've got Lawler's back
He is a class act. He just misspoke a bit. I’ll take Ralph Lawler over the Lakers’ announcers any day.

Totally.
I don’t think it was meant as offensive, just…it’s unfortunate. You really have to be careful with what you say these days.

I want
ESPN to not assign Jon Barry to any Suns game. I’ll gladly pay his salary for him to stay home
Steve Nash plays D!!
and he doesn't enjoy the games either
it’s like a punishment for him.
"Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it"
he sounds ready to
enjoy some Nashty time however

Dudley is just such a cerebral player.
He’s one of the smartest players on this team, along with Hill and Nash.
And to be mentioned in the same conversation as those guys, as far as basketball smarts go, that’s a pretty big honor.

When the Suns offense is flowing the way it is tonight,
it’s a sight to behold. Truly a masterpiece.

Not his fault.
Who doesn’t love a good comeback (except the home team and their fans)?
That Kings vs. Bulls game was AMAZING.
