I think that Paul (Westphal)has done a great job. They got a guy (Martin) averaging 30 a game sitting out. They also have Garcia sitting out. He’s done a great job of getting to know his team and putting them in a position to succeed.

It’s tough because he hasn’t had a lot of minutes. It wasn’t a good trip for him, there was no one for him to play in Toronto and New York, they play all small forwards and guards. He’s a ways to go because he can’t get the minutes. But he works his but off in practice, you gotta understand that he didn’t play a lot last year. He had a good training camp, but he didn’t have an opportunity to play a lot. It’s a work in progress. We’re not going to stick him out there and play him against guys like Nocioni. He’s in the roatation where there’s a matchup to suit him.

Is it just me or has Amare's ability to create his own shot decreased drastically since his MF?
Seems like over the past few years a lot of those drives turn into TOs. His dunks come mostly off direct assists from Nash, unlike preMF Amare.

He was having a great season. Though, maybe the Blazers will get back on track. Which is a bit unfortunate…while I love the Blazers and wish our lineup was that stacked with young talent, it was good to hear about the former 4 seed in the West having internal problems with the team/management. I think a lot of that was Oden having a career year.

Congrats on your guys win
Our pick and roll defense was absolutely atrocious down the stretch, Spencer couldn’t buy a bucket, and we missed quite a few free throws down the stretch. Reke had a nice game (7 assists to 0 turnovers really sticks out to me), Kenny was monstrous on the boards, and JT was relatively mediocre ( I was expecting him to be, Amar’e isn’t a good matchup for him).
Nash is still incredible, Amar’e beasted the glass tonight, and Kings underestimate Frye way too much.
Again, congrats and good luck on the rest of your season. And thanks for all the props you’ve given our guys. Its nice to see us getting a little respect for a change.
