Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

In case you haven't gotten enough of what we think of the recent changes and lack thereof in Sunsland, SI.com's writers chime in as well. Valid points all around, from the Sarver-Kerr learning curve to Jack McCallum's understandable befuddlement at the organization's 360 on offensive philosophy.

Ha!
Is this the experience Kerr needs in order to be great at the job someday? So many young GMs make mistakes early in their tenures, but then they turn into the Danny Ainge or the Danny Ferry that we know today. (Or maybe every GM should be named Danny.)

Maybe the Suns should have made Dan Majerle GM?

And this....
Asking Nash to run a controlled offense is like asking Nolan Ryan to throw junk. Shouldn’t happen.

…pretty much sums up my opinion on trying to turn the current roster into a Spurs/Pistons-like team. It’s a little like having Kobe Bryant on your team then asking him not to shoot. (Or having Amare on your team and asking him not to dunk).
