Two trades that make sense for the Suns

It’s time to put your GM cap on. With the Suns reportedly shopping everyone and anyone not named Steve Nash it’s time to figure out who they should get back in return. Here are two trades in my book that make sense for the Suns on and off the court.

Trade Amare Stoudemire, Goran Dragic and a second round pick to Detroit for...

i like the detroit trade

in that rasheed’s contract expires, we get rid of amare’s contract and we get stuckey. i also like that we keep barbosa. he’s special to me, for some reason. i would hate for him to have to live in detroit, or even chicago.

I kinda already said that

Here.

However, why would the Pistons give up Stuckey for Goran Tragic? Really?

On Chicago, Thomas would be a downgrade and Hinrich has a horrible contract (4 years at $10M per) that I don’t think is reflective of his value.

Mmmmm ... Guinness

i agree on not trading with chicago. everyone throws out heinrich but he is AWFULLY overpaid. …and you think marcus banks was a cap-killer….

i don’t think any of the bulls pieces really fit.

This is like a dream trade

I love Sheed, Stuckey’s a legit PG, and we go from 2nd rounder to 1st. Don’t really think Detroit would make this trade though, they got rid of Billups because they knew they had Stuckey to run the offense.

Exactly

Never happen. Amare for Sheed is possible. Stuckey? No way they do that.

And I don’t think you would need to give up Barbosa to get Heinrich and Gooden. The question is do you want Kirk’s long term deal…not sure about that but perhaps…

I am a bulls fan...

+HInrich is perhaps over paid right now but his contract has negative growth: so unlike most players who’s salary goes up over their contract hinrichs goes down… after this year it is 3 years 26.5 mil which is totally reasonable
+ I don’t think the bulls should trade him right now: they would be selling low, reguardless of what his stats say on another team recieving starters minutes he would average about his career numbers 14 and 6

- I don’t understand why the suns would want him, they have nash…

So my proposal is
amare
for
noccioni (who also has a negatively growing contract, the last year is about 6.5 mil)
gooden (7 mil expiring deal)
and maybe
Either Noah or Thomas (do you think they are needed)

so suns fans what do you think of this… does it make sense for you guys?

Stuckey is a pipe dream

Would be awesome but no way would detroit trade him. In fact they’d probably trade rip before him, the kid will probably be averaging 20 and 8-10 in less than two years. And I don’t like the sheed trade. If we’re gonna dump amare its gotta be for someone young, as it would mean going into a de facto rebuilding phase.
