Trade Amare to Golden State!
Honestly, I can't even believe that, with a talent like Amare Stoudemire, you could even begin to think of putting him on the trade block. He's just too good to even think of letting go but if yall really wanna trade him, we (Golden State Warriors) wouldn't mind taking him off your hands. Everyone at Golden State of Mind agrees that Amare is a beast and everyone is starting to go wild with different trade possibilities to somehow get Amare to the Bay Area. It's all for fun but if any of these trades ever were to become a reality, The Bay would go crazy!
There's a couple of ways to make it work on both ends, in my opinion. I thought that THIS might work. You guys get Anthony Randolph (A 19 yr old rookie with a lot of promise), Corey Maggette (A proven scorer, big body), Kelenna Azubuike (You already seen what he did against the suns on 2/4/09 19 pts in the 1st quarter! He can D up and spread the floor) and Marcus Williams (A young, solid, pass first PG who could only get better under Nash's wing). If you don't know much about these guys then click on those links and learn about them. Given the complexion of your team, I think these guys can fit in nicely. Randolph possesses all the talent in the world and just needs time and a good coaching staff. Maggette is instant offense and on the Suns, how can that be bad? Kelenna Azubuike is a good defender, good shooter, good rebounder and is very clutch. Marcus Williams has a lot of basketball knowledge, from playing under Jason Kidd and can run an offense very well and just imagine if Nash was teaching him some things, he'd have experience under Kidd and Nash (2 hall of fame PG's). Plus, if it were me personally, I'd throw a bunch of cash your way along with maybe a future draft pick.
As for our side of the bargain, we'll take a disgruntled Amare Stoudemire and a player in Matt Barnes, whom I noticed not too many of you Phoenix fans like too much. I noticed that a lot of you get on him about his shot selection and poor shooting nights in general. I think Barnes was meant to stay with the Warriors and I, for one, would gladly take him back. If you're interested in other trade possibilities that the GSoM fan base is brewing up then click HERE and look in all the comments. Let's hope the two front offices can get together and strike up a deal!

Phoenix isn't taking on Maggette's contract, so this is an automatic no as long as he's in the deal.
Steve Nash, the league's MVP, is a longhaired Canadian who spoke out against the war in Iraq and reads The Communist Manifesto. Quentin Richardson declared after a game-winning shot that it "was like Hamlet. It was a suspense thriller, and I killed them at the end." Amare Stoudemire, when asked to comment on a 22-point third quarter against the Kings, said, "I've got a tendency to jump over some guys' heads and throw it down."
Yea...
i figured that would be the catch. I tried swapping him with Jamal Crawford. His contract is almost up for an extension if we choose to do so. That deal works. We just want to get Amare over here pretty much at all costs haha.

The Warriors are a no-talent team who complained about “not getting enough respect in the league” 2 years ago when they got playoff-worthy. Even though their team is drastically different today, the fans are still the same: they think they actually deserve remotely good players on their team. Disclaimer: I live in the Bay Area and Warriors fans absolutely suck. The team traded J-Rich for Brandon Wright! in hopes of packaging him for KG. Unfortunately for them, they forgot one important thing: no one wants to live in the Bay Area. It’s ugly and it stinks.
As for this trade, you have 2 good guys: Anthony Randolph and Kelenna Azuibuke, who are actual potential runner ups for the Suns. Other than that, no one in the league remotely want Maggette or Marcus Williams. Maggette is so one-sided it’s hilarious. The guys scores, but that’s about it. Marcus Williams just flat out sucks in general.
Why you gotta take it there?
I just made up a trade proposal and you gotta start cappin on the whole team, the players and the whole Bay Area? You just a bitter little biaatch and we don’t need your punk a$$ in the Bay. If you hate it out here then get the F-ck out! Sucka a$$ biatch!

I agree
about Magette but I would love to live in the bay area. I have spent a ton of time everywhere from all over SF to the East Bay to Walnut Creek to Paolo Alto and even Monterey for a year.
If the Suns traded me I would go in a heart beat.

I haven't been there in a while
but I grew up in Fresno, so if you want to talk about smelly shitholes to live in, start with Fresno. If I did move to the Bay Area, it would be for basketball and fish and chips. California in general also has a lot of awesome local breweries.
a prime example of a warrios fan, no doubt :P you say something they don’t like, and they start getting “g” or “hyphy” or whatever on you
How you gonna live in the Bay....
….and talk sh-t about the Bay? I don’t know what part of the Bay you from but if you talk all that sh-t to someone where I’m from or pretty much anywhere else in the Bay Area. You definitely would catch a beat down or depending on who you run into, maybe worse! You safe because you on the internet but go right ahead bruh, I encourage you to talk some of that tough guy sh-t to someone on the streets or even with some of your friends in public so that someone hears you. I hope one drunken night, you start ranting about how bad you think the Bay Area is and you get knocked the F*ck out! We ain’t doin’ nothin but talkin’ basketball here and you took it to another level. It didn’t have to go there but you took it there, don’t ever disrespect my side of the earth again!

Warriors fans suck?
A fanbase that continued to fill Oracle for 12 years despite having a crappy team every single year? Show me any other fanbase that would do that?
That’s what I thought. Imagine if that happened in Phoenix, you guys don’t even have a committed fanbase when your team is good.
No fracking way
Maggette is a loser and he plays a position we don’t need to fill
Randolf is too small to play the four – I don’t like him at all
Kelena is decent. I would trade Barnes for him straight up but that’s about it
Blogging Suns Basketball
Grant Hill is almost finished...
What happens when Grant goes? who do the suns have to fill that spot? Maggette would be perfect! Kelenna can even play the 3 along with the 2 and as you’ve seen when we played you guys, he can play the 4. He has a lot of value and can help your team a lot. Randolph is 19! 19 for crying out loud!! You should track him a little more, he’s gonna be a very good player eventually and at 19, he’s probably going to get a lot bigger too. Marcus Williams will be a nice piece for you guys to have as well and like i said, Nash will teach him a lot. Not to mention, but you can count on these guys to be tough, hard nosed players because if you were to get them, they once were Warriors! I truly think this trade will be beneficial to both teams.

Maggette is a proven scorer...
lately he’s been able to pull down some rebounds as well…
He's a proven
head case that can score. We’ve got scorers. Grant can score (he’s been turning down shots). You all know about JRich. Shaq is good for 20. LB is good for 15 or 20. Nash hasn’t been shooting near enough.
We don’t want Maggette. No. Way.

Great! Where do we sign?
Disclaimer: The GS Warriors organization and its affiliates are not liable for technical fouls, complaints to the referees and not helping out on defense on the other end, and turnovers, whether forced or unforced, committed by Stephen Jackson. YOU (THE RECIPIENT) ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SAID PLAYER (STEPHEN JACKSON) IS TRADED TO YOUR ORGANIZATION ON AN “AS IS” BASIS.

Well that was weird.
Anyway. Let’s see:
Technical fouls? Amare’s got that.
Complaints to the referees? Check.
Not helping out on defense? Check.
Turnovers, forced or unforced? Check. (Granted, half of them come from the pick and roll.)
Yeah, I don’t think the adjustment will be too severe.
I'm curious...
Would anyone in Suns-land be interested in this
Suns receive:
Monta Ellis
Ronny Turiaf
Brandan Wright
1st round pick (probably a good one)
Warriors receive:
Amare
Thing 2

Now you are talking
Do those numbers work?
We would have to dump LB or JRich though or trade Ellis for someone else
Blogging Suns Basketball
Numbers work...
I’m not a big fan of Amare’s attitude but I’d probably still do it. The guy is a stud despite his flaws. It would be nice to get a lower 1st in return but I don’t think the Suns have one this year do they?
Thing 2
Give Jamal instead of Monte and its a deal!

As a Warriors fan,
I couldn’t get out my checkbook quick enough. How it would help us to get rid one of our SGs, we’ve got far too many. We need a big man (read: your big man).
Helllll No
Amare aint worth all that….i’ll give you Jamal Crawford (expiring contract) + Maggette
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1654971727&teams=21219&te=&cash=
So we'd replace our all-star PF, underachiever or not,
with two SGs who can score and not a ton else.
Okay.
okay
How bout Crawford and B Wright….A talented combo guard with a huge expiring contract and a young talented forward…plus we can throw in our pick…
Are you freaking serious?
Chris Mullin would get lynched for making this sort of trade, reminiscient of the Pau Gasol sweepstakes which the Lakers took.
Ellis, Turiaf, Wright and pick for Stoudemire??
Woohooo!!!! The Suns are saved!!!
hahah
monta’s not going anywhere, neither is anthony randolph…
exchange those with craw and wright, thanks
oops!
i read it wrong, disregard everything i say from here on out, in the bay we drink at work
hahaha
you can have him!! for free!

whoa, whoa.
the only thing more frustrating than the enigmatic nature of amaré are nellie’s rotations.
by Trevor Paxton on Feb 7, 2009 4:12 PM MST up reply actions
No no.
It’s not that we don’t want Amare.
We just want half the players in the league instead of him.
Grant Hill is much better player than Corey Magette
Grant Hill rebounds and plays his heart out for every game. Scoring is only the third best thing he does for the team.
Corey does not play defense. He only cares about scoring and getting contact to get to the free throw line.
See how relaity is so much different than perception.
Grant 11/5/2
Maggette 10/6/2
Wow its not even close. Maggette is statistacally far superior.

No Maggette! No Warriors!
I live in socal, watched a ton of clipper games over the years ( hey, i didn’t always have league pass and I love B-Ball) and I can say that he scores & rebounds and that’s it. He had trouble getting the minutes his talent warrants because his lack of defensive awareness, basically he never gets any deflections and is a poor off ball defender. He could be valuable to a lot of teams in the league but we’re not one of them. I say keep Amare, things have gotten a little heated and I think all parties involved would benefit from a reprieve from this trade talk madness…. To be honest, i don’t think we want any of GS guys other than Monta or Biedrins. Once a player has been in an extreme system (gimmick) they can have a hard time re-establishing all the normal good basketball habits that deteriorated during the period with Nellie ( or D’Antoni)… I don’t think the warriors are a team that can help us.
Amare for Biedrins
If I was GM,
I’d trade Amare to the GSW but the deal would have to meet these criteria: the deal must include Andris Biedrins and NOT include Crawford or Magette.
Help Suns Fans
I’m looking to download a ringtone for a song that is played while the Suns are at home only on offense! There are no words to it, just a funky tune thats played for about 20 seconds, it’s from some modern rap song! I’m dying to get it
C’MON GUYS SOMEONE MUST KNOW WHAT IT IS!!!!!
THANKS
Dude
you need some other way to describe this song…according to the Suns there are 30 such songs they play just on offense…hum a few bars are record?

being a warriors fan
i would love the original trade idea, but i dont think you all would do it.
what about…
warriors get
amare
suns get
wally szczerbiak (for cap relief), anthony randolph, and either brandan wright or kelenna azubuike
cavs get
maggette (and we could throw in belinelli or anthony morrow if they want more)
looking for an honest opinion from a suns fan.. i don’t know that much about the suns, but from what i hear cap relief is a part of the reason they’re trading amare..
