Drew Gooden
is much better than Stromile.
If we are going to sign someone, I prefer Gooden.

i'd think swift
he fits a bazillion times better in a fast pace than gooden does.
also… i thnk they are both sort of lacking. but gooden commands the ball, and swift doesn’t. looking up and down the line-up, you guys don’t need someone who needs the ball to be effective.

This would be a decent move, given the price. Anything to help that 4/5 depth.

Suns Grief Support Group
Talk about your bizarre unfortunate coincidences… Matt Barnes, Leandro Barbosa and Stromile Swift have all lost their mothers in the last year or so.
As weird as it sounds, this could be a mutually beneficial signing for the Suns and Swift. The Suns get a seasoned vet who may or may not be playing with a little extra motivation and Swift gets to come to a locker room (and organization) with a couple of guys who know what he’s going through. Sort of a tragic bit of serendipity.
Sometimes the universe just works in mysterious ways like that.

Was Stro the guy that Charles Barkley said runs and jumps like a deer?

Update from KTAR
On the radio Gambo reporting:
Suns interested in Swift, Gooden and Joe Smith but the Spurs are looking at Gooden and the Cavs at Smith.
It doesn’t seem likely that Gooden or Smith would choose Phx over SA or Cleveland…both due to $ (Suns can only pay the minimum) and playoff chances
Swift isn’t bad and he’s low risk. I am not a big fan but why not…Suns need to fill the 13th spot anyway.
Wed is when we should know. That’s when these guys can sign

Why do you think
Spurs prefers Gooden instead Stromile or Smith? Perhaps because he fits better in a slow pace or perhaps because of his quality?

gooden works better in a slower pace
but he doesn’t pass very well. all spurs players are good passers. he doesn’t fit.
