Shaq and Lopez

Does anyone have any information regarding the Shaq Lopez argument that happened in yesterdays game. I couldn't take watching anymore and turned the game off before it happened but I saw this on espn.com.

If anyone could find out what was said that would be great. I'll be at the game in Utah on Saturday and will try to find something out.

I am sure we will learn more about this and I can ask when the Suns get back to town if  not.

I love seeing this though. This is no different then what KG does and the way Shaq is playing he's certainly earned the right to have his say.

I like how he responded to Lopez talking back to him. In fact I liked that Lopez did talk back to him. Showed some fire.

I am reminded of a similar situation recently with my 17 year old son. I don't even remember what he said or what stupid thing it was about (taking out the trash perhaps) but he talked back in a very disrespectful manner and I got right up in his face and just as Shaq did and let him know firmly but without losing my cool that wasn't acceptable. He backed down as Lopez did and even thought I was mad at how he reacted I appreciated him showing some spine. It's part of the growing up process of becoming a man.

We need our starters

To get fired up… I think Lopez, Swift, Tucker should get some of this talking too… wise or not.

He was probably asking him if he wants to go get something to eat after the game.

Id also like to see

Matt Barnes and Shaq duke it out over a goofy three point shot…

Bag?

Next time Barnes jacks up an early, contested three I’d like to see Shaq put a bag on Barnes’ face.

Mmmmm ... Guinness

I love it...

The veterans are finally (over the last 7 games) showing the sense of urgency that I would have liked to have seen before our last Mavericks game. I love seeing them instill in these young guys to not take anything for granted in this league.

I saw it

That was intense. Loved it too.

+1000

It was about time somebody got in that guy’s face. I’m young, so maybe I haven’t seen enough basketball to say this, but seriously, do guys get more clumsy than Lopez? How can his brother be so good and he be so bad? Sweet Lou doesn’t get any flack for his pathetic offense b/c he’s a BEAST on the boards. Why can’t Lopez do that!?? He’s got the size and the build, but he tries to tip every shot in instead of coming up w/ a strong rebound. Keep screaming at him, Big Cactus!

I heard

It’s about Lopez being slow/casual/lazy when getting back on defense. I’m fine with KG yelling at his teammates ‘cause he leads by example but Shaq, not as much so. Shaq is just a very talented goofball, and I don’t think he gives his all all the time.

Lopez to me is like the kid who wouldn’t commit to anything. It’s totally a gut feeling, but he seems like the kind of dude who’d feel embarrassed if he showed that he care a lot about something.

I hope he spends his offseason with his brother and learn a thing or seven from him.

If I was in Lopez's place

I would employ my fail-safe fighting technique: I would kick Shaq in the jewels and run away.

It was about

It was about the play before, Lopez allowed the blazers to get an uncontested breakaway, cherry picking dunk after a Suns miss.

Shaq was “explaining” to Lopez that one of the duties of a big fella or Center is to not let crap like that happen.
