They used to simulcast on MojoHD...

…is that not an option anymore. It wasn’t usually in the listings, but it was there.

Barbosa is playing great...

Like Stan was saying in the Lakers rewatch, he has really matured this year.

Not looking good

The Suns energy, effort and chemistry are poor. Too many jump shots. The rhythm is off they didn’t take advantage of D Ho being in foul trouble and only playing 10min. Not getting into the paint and drawing fouls and getting easy looks.

The perimeter defense is horrible. Those late fouls by Lopez can be blamed on Nash not staying in front of Alton.

Not impressed. Suns need to pick it up or they will lose this game.

Nash TO

the box score is showing him w 2 but that can’t be right. He’s thrown the ball away at least four times.

When Alston was with Houston

Reggie Miller called him “raper”. I know it has nothing to do with the game, but I love irrelevance.

I know...

…Dragic may have upside, but either the Suns organization had some HORRIBLE scouts or they blatantly lied to us in telling us that he was the second best pg in the draft. I would really rather not believe the latter. I really hope the kid succeeds, but for goodness’ sakes, someone tell him to stop being so da— careless with the ball!

Howard on the bench, that's how

plus Orlando has turned it over even more than us. Hopefully DH will pick up that 5th foul early in the 4th.

He's our first scoring option today

Shaq looks tired, Nash is turning the ball over (although he did have a good shooting first half) and Barnes is back to being Barnes.

"Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it"

by PanamaSun on Mar 3, 2009 6:57 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

Nash has mostly been turning the ball over in the halfcourt set..

this half, because he doesn’t know what to do with the ball. Shaq is playing too slow and tired and not working to get position or set screens.

by brian13 on Mar 3, 2009 7:01 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

4 steals for Barbosa so far..

In the last 11 games including this one.. he has been averaging 2.9 a game (which is best in the league).

by brian13 on Mar 3, 2009 6:57 PM MST reply actions   0 recs

After this game

I intend to prove that Nash with the ball was worse for the team then when he didn’t have the ball…at least in the 3 qtr

Started the Q playing him off the ball and got a couple of hoops. He starts trying to create in the half court and turn overs and misses ensue..

You don’t have to like it, but it’s a fact. Evidence to follow

Strange, I thought the Suns played hard and played pretty well.

They lost it at the end, but not for lack of effort or bad play. It was a tough battle on a great team’s homecourt.

Hard to remember the good parts

when they sucked so bad in the 4th. They went 6 min. without scoring against a team that was turning the ball over even more than they were to that point. They gave it away.

yeah, but it was such a scrappy game, someone was going to win,

if the shots don’t fall, they don’t fall. I agree the suns didn’t have a go to play to close the game.

Great effort

Suns were right up there till the mid-4th quarter. Against a good team too. But i guess moral victories are kind of hard to accept when margin to get into playoffs is this tight.

They jacked up too many 3's

when they should have been driving inside and trying to draw fouls when Orlando was in the penalty early.

by TwinnerA on Mar 3, 2009 7:43 PM MST up reply actions   0 recs

Plus..

Shaq was slow, Nash was turning the ball over, Barnes was jacking up his normal junk, and Barbosa disappeared in the 2nd half.

So I still say it was more sloppy and less scrappy.

As good as Richardson

started – scoring well.. IMO Barnes should have started at PF. Barnes is an underrated rebounder and maybe wont jack up as many threes if hes the PF. Richardson (or maybe Hill) would have steadied the bench with his scoring. I like Barbosa where he is as a starting SG – although he didnt shoot that well this game

Suns

need to at least win next two out of 3 games (i think they can handle Miami easy; Houston or Spurs at least one other win). And then hope Dallas losses next two out 3 games (i hope Spurs and Hornets bring their A-game against Mavs). Then the March 10 Suns-MAvs game becomes the pivotal match for the Suns to even up standings.

Nash and Shaq lost the game for us

NASH had a horrible game. I’m not interested in his stat line but those turnovers really disrupt our offensive rythmn.

Shaq’s theatrics at the end led to a Magic 10-0 spurt.

Can we have Nash come from the bench for next game and stick to the team line-up that beat the lakers?

Nash cannot play in the half court with his defense as it is…

Leandro or Grant Hill play the half court better as PGs.
