Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Hey NBA.com....never mind

[Note by Phoenix Stan, 04/02/09 1:10 PM MST ]

I tracked down the story on this (non) story. Here's what happened:

The Warriors were playing an April Fools joke on one of their broadcasters that was turning 50. They tried to add him to the box score and typed in "DNP - TOO OLD/NO TALENT" but his name wasn't in the database as a player so somehow it defaulted to Grant Hill.

All a big mix up. No story here. No offense directed at our beloved and ever youthful Grant Hill. Move along now...

Wow...

I’m guessing the dude responsible was getting fired and that was his last hurah as it is no longer showing…well, that or it was an April Fools joke.

This is not even funny

because Grant is not associated with the Warriors/Kings at all.

And they can’t be talking about George Hill? Another other player with initials G. Hill?

And I think Pop did slap a DNP-OLD AGE on one of his players. Was it Brent Barry?

April Fools?

Calling Grant Hill untalented? That really sucks, some respect to this great player and the Suns in general wouldn’t hurt… Thumbs down to nba.com…

My body might be in Greece, but my mind and my heart is in Arizona. When the heck will I visit the Desert?

Idiots!

The nba’s “april fools” joke is so stupid… not only for being disrespectful to a great nba player but for putting down a man who gives his all to our basketball team everytime he’s on the floor…great job nba!

NBA.com should save the dissing (April Fool's or not)

for that really old dude, 42-year-old Dikembe Mutombo, who is earning $500,000 this year and averaging 0.9 points a game.
